Went there to SCUBA dive and enjoyed it so much more than vortex. There was an open water class so it was kind of crowded at first but once they cleared out and the water cleared very fast. Will be back again in the future.

We use the park for practicing scuba diving. Park is always clean, bathrooms could use some help. Have not had a bad time here yet.

Awesome place!! Fresh water and peaceful. Great kayaking and swimming. You can scuba there and snorkel. Never crowded.

What kind of genius sticks a boat ramp right next to a spring?! This place had a huge sheen of oil/gas on the surface of the water, that noticeably got all over your skin. Why do people want noisy, polluting boats right next to such a beautiful wonder of nature? This park is managed by Walton County; it is not a State Park, and despite my numerous attempts to have Google try and correctly rename it, they keep denying my request. As for the spring itself, it's massive! And gorgeouswhen it's clear. But you have to essentially wait for at least a one week drought before it gets crystal clear. Also this recently modernized facility is massive. Lots and lots of parking - and lots and lots of people too. This place has unfortunately gone from pristine natural wonder to exploited tourist attraction.

Water is refreshingly cold and beautiful. It's so therapeutic especially after getting some good ol sunburn from the previous day. Bring your go pro and snorkeling equipment or you'll be kickin yourself all day.

Pictures are after a hard rainfall. So the water isn't crystal clear. I loved the old matured Cypress Trees and quiet little park. Perfect for kayaking thru the trees.

Very good Fl state park with scuba diving and cavern. FL State parks are very consistent, nice and this is one of them. It's simple but if you need a place to dive its good as long as river isn't too high.

Normally this place is gorgeous, like something out of a movie. Just stopped by and the river is backed up badly into the spring and entire basin. Water is black and murky. You can see oil/gasoline slicks everywhere. I've never seen it this bad. Not sure how long it takes to clear out, but the park wasn't even open and it was after 9am on Saturday.

I love this place so much. Unfortunately, last time the water was dirty (gasoline) and it has a bacteria, so we couldn't swim. I recommend for people who want to visit to take care of the place, please. It's wonderful and it deserves to be preserved.

Water looked great if you can make it past all the people. Small area roped off for swimming. Total disregard for parking. Dogs aren't welcome.

Just a short easy walk from the parking lot. The water is breathtakingly beautiful. There's bathrooms, a pavilion, and a beach. It's a must see.

Something different from swimming in the ocean. The water is so beautiful, clear . and COLD, very cold. Takes some time to adjust to the water temperature, but on a super hot day, it's a relief. The beach area is not very big, so go early to get a good spot. Would be more fun if there were areas for jumping or even a rope swing. There is a floating dock and another higher dock (no jumping allowed) There is no fee for getting into the spring. Covered picnic table area grills and restrooms are available. Paddle boards, canoes, etc are welcomed. Highly suggest bringing floats and rafts, snorkels,goggles and your go pro for underwater shots. You may also scuba dive here at your own risk.
