Neat place to visit!! Me, my husband and baby boy all went together. It was very beautiful and easy to keep the kids entertained!

The last trek to see the lighthouse is closed to vehicles. The lighthouse itself sits off shore in the ocean. Not a clear day to see details. Camera phone photos are not great. Beach is scenic with rocks and trees Justin out of the sand. I like lighthouses so I was happy.

A reasonable drive from Charleston to Folly Beach brings you to the park where you can walk out to see the light house across a narrow inlet. At low tide you can walk across the inlet towards the light house but not all the way to the island it sits on. (The narrow inlet water has a definite strong current.) It's a short walk from the road to the beach across form the light house island. Some shells on the beach to comb throughbut watch out for fishermen and their lines. Nice old driftwood trees dot the beach as well. Stay on the pathway to the beachthere's small cactus plants among the grasses. Met a very helpful police officer who told us where to park as well as where to go. Parking is limited go off street and pay areas on the road to the Lighthouse Park. Free access to the beach where you can see the lighthouse.

This is a wonderful Lighthouse visible from Shore but best seen by taking a short Boat Trip as I have done for these photos. This is not a lighthouse that can be visited or climbed. We call it a float by.

Visited Folly Beach in the 90,s fell in Luv Luv with Morris Light but it's a damn shame the light is sinking into the water. This light is awesome.

If boat tours can charge to take you out by the light then why can't we save this light

This is a great hike to the lighthouse and the views are amazing. Hard to believe this lighthouse was once 1200 feet from the water line and now it is in the ocean.

Beautiful lighthouse! It's a hidden gem. I wish you could take your dog on a leash. Can't wait to go fishing here and see the sun rise and set!
