My husband and I shopped around for an entire month and each time we came right back to Austin Chase. The customer service was OUTSTANDING: very welcoming and warm! We even selected it over the brand new apartments up the street! We are very satisfied and pleased with our apartment: the location and the view is SPECTACULAR!

The BEST complex I have ever lived in! Ashley and Sophie in the front office are so sweet and welcoming. I come into the office every day just to talk to them. I'm going to miss living here when we leave! Please come here to rent your apartment, you won't regret it.

I have lived at Auston chase for almost 4 years. I started with a 1 bed room 1 bath room, but when that lease was done I decided to rent out a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom because I enjoyed living here so much. I even recommended it to friends of mine who also live in this complex. But lately it has truly been a nightmare, there have been instances that require maintenance to enter the apartment, instead of advising the occupant that they will need to enter, they’ve just been going in whenever. It happened to me first(thank goodness by boyfriend happened to still be there), and the second time is my friend that lives in the complex came home from vacation to stuff moved all around in her apartment and the breaker box left open, with no note. Go figure when she got home the office was closed so she won’t be able to relax her first night back from vacation. Also, they decide to shut down the pool for 3 weeks as it started to get warmer to “improve amenities”, I find it hard to believe this isn’t something they could have done during the colder months since they have the pool open year round. Obviously, it’s going to have more people around it when its warmer. It’s basically just irritating, old and embarrassing. I have another friend moving into the area, I will not advise her to choose Auston chase. I’m counting down the months until my lease is up, because even by resigning a lease the rent goes up substantially.

Update-
As I said in the good the staff saw the review and went above and beyond and has reached out to make sure absolutely everything is fixed perfectly. Can’t say enough how fantastic the staff is.

The good- everything else, excellent facilities for residents and the staff is awesome. They get to know you on first name basis and really try to make things as easy as possible. Can’t say enough good about staff.

My apartment had German cockroaches. I was there for about a month. It was a living nightmare. Ultimately I got out and they gave me a full refund.

Other than that it was noisy. The doors slam shut automatically and your neighbors' doors will shake your whole apartment. I could hear cars deriving by from my bedroom even with Windows closed and air on. The air conditioning itself was noisy.

My fridge needed to be replaced and the guy who replaced it didn't hook the water up right. When i woke up the next day the whole place was flooded. He came back and didn't apologize, just asked me to give him my towels and other linens to soak up the water.

Other than that most of the staff is very good. Eli is really great.

Overall, it was not a great experience though.

ASHLEY is amazing!!! And so is this apartment complex. We drove up days within needing an apartment from Florida. We called Ashley and spoke to her about our options and made an appointment. First, we were there an hour before our appointment and after assisting other individuals she came right to us. Immediately she was unbelievably helpful, kind, and patient! We set our day to move in for 5 days later. We came the next day and asked if we could move in the next day. Ashley went above and beyond to assist us with all paperwork and get us into our new home! We've been here for two weeks, happily I might add. To top it off, just yesterday she called to make sure that we had settled in nicely. I've lived in many different places all over and she is by far a necessity for Auston Chase and all the people living there.

CONS: 1. Unorganized. The day we signed to move in was the seventh, on everything signed and emailed the date said the seventh. Come move in day, the apartment wasn't ready due to the fact they had the day marked for the seventeenth. Apartment had cigarettes on the porch, AC unit was broken, molding clearly had not been repaired where a previous dog had chewed, bathroom had grime stains and soap scum in shower, etc If packages are left at the office they don't call and tell you.
2. Many issues with the apartment and continuous and unresolved, despite many work orders. Top window STILL leaks during heavy rain, AC unit has a leak and the staff are aware, but choose to fill it up (when we call) rather than replace the unit. Dishwasher has repeatedly broke, only was resolved when I requested a new dishwasher.
3. Trash and pet waste. Yes, I'm well aware they request pet owners to pick up waste. The problem is, most don't!!!! Stepping on the grass is a landmine at times, and the funny thing is, it's the same pet owners. How do they not catch them? As for trash, outside our door, one of our neighbors smokes and leaves cigarettes on the stairwell, nothing done about that. The trash has frequently overfilled to the point where trash is in PILES outside the compacter. The smell is horrendous, and god knows what wild life is attracted.

Pros: 1. The apartment units themselves are spacious and comfortable. Multiple outlets and walls provide plenty of space to have multiple ways of having furniture. Closet space is perfect in both rooms and foyer. Walls are seemingly well insulated, as we don't have noise issues, but we are also on the 3rd floor
2. Residents are (for the most part) friendly.
3. The amenities are eye catching. The pool is gorgeous, love the slope and it's kept very clean and has a nice shaded area as well as grills. The gym is fully equipped as well as having a private room for stretching and yoga. This too is kept clean, and doesn't have that stale sweat smell often found in smaller gyms. You're also able to rent movies and video games, a decent plus for us. The staff also keeps the residents happy with many monthly gimmicks, paint and game nights. It's a great way to spend an evening or afternoon and meet your fellow residents and staff.

Overall, this complex is okay-ish, but the fact that many of the issues we've had are easily resolvable (but aren't) are leaving us with a bad impression.

Eli is a great guy to work with along with other's in the office. Apartment was clean upon move in. Any issues that need to be addressed are done so in a timely fashion. Moved from Courtney Bend where staff is disingenuous, apartment old and many items literally falling apart! Glad we made the change.

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews from years ago. Since then they have a new management team and staff. Sydney is first class when it comes to selling you on the property, amenities and customer service. The process was very smooth when I decided to move here. Very upfront and honest on what to expect and whats expected out of you as a resident at Auston Chase. Eli is also someone who genuinely cares about your interest and concerns. Bypass Courtney Bend and Brook Mill and choose AUSTON CHASE!

The management staff is terrible and will harass you. Do not move here. I would recommend the apartment complex down the road (County Bend). They cost about the same amount and you get better amenities, a nicer apartment, AND a FRIENDLY attentive staff.

I would definitely NOT recommend this apartment complex. We had a 6 mo lease and it was very expensive. The apartment we rented was quite DIRTY when we moved in with nasty appliances that were from the dark ages!. With them EVERYTHING is about money!There are NO light fixtures in any of the bedroom ceilings thus the apartments are DARK; if you want to put in ceiling lights or add another towel rack, they will do it, but you will pay for them!. Basically EVERYTHING in these apartments are cheap and not what they advertise. We were billed for things we never received and all in all I would never recommend staying in these apartments. There are much nicer ones in the same vicinity. No one seems to know what they are doing around there. We were accused of not picking up dog droppings ( not true) and we were sent a nastygram left on our door; and another nasty on our car because we did not have a sticker and they were going to tow the car. We had lived there for several m months and were told they were out of stickers.!!!! Believe me, I left this apartment much cleaner than when I moved in!

We do not recommend this Apartment Community to our worse enemy. The Property Management Group does not have their stuff together. They are not very nice and they automatically put the amount you owe at the beginning of your lease term on your credit report. We had a heck of a time trying to explain this to our mortgage lender when we were trying to get a loan on a house.
The Apartment that we lived in had a pre-existing flea problem and we had to pay for the treatments because they would not take ownership for it. The A/C Units were terrible. They broke down three times in the three months we lived there. The first time we wanted to cook on the propane grill by the pool, the propane tank was out. After this incident we never tried to grill out again. But when we would be at the pool, we would watch people bring their steaks and already prepared hamburgers and turn away disappointed because the propane tanks were out.
On the internet this Apartment Community might look appealing and the pricing might sound right, but don't let that fool you.
This Apartment Community needs a lot of work. I wish them the best from a distance.
