If I could give ZERO starts, I would! ZEROOOO!
Our A/C went down so we called Morehart off hours to see if someone can fix it. They were responsive and a technician did show timely. The technician was friendly and informative.
Unfortunately, the technician did not have the part needed to repair the problem. Morehart told us they will check on Sunday (if they open the shop) and see if they have the part. If not, we would have to wait until Monday whether they do have it or have to order it which can take longer. I called the following morning and the response was, “if they let us in the shop to check but we should have a more definitive answer Monday whether we have it or need to order it”.
My rating is due to poor customer service and inconsideration. We live in Arizona! The week will be above 110 degrees all week! Currently, my house is 91 degrees. I asked the lady on the phone with Morehart, if we go to a hotel or rent an Airbnb, will it be covered by Morehart? Her response was, “this is the units fault and not Morehart”. UNACCEPTABLE! So you just want us to just slowly cook in our house because 1. You don’t have the part 2. You have to order it and may take a couple days 3. It’s not Moreharts fault but ours?
We live in Arizona! This should be an expectation and the company should be more equipped and prepared to handle these types of situations on a daily business. You are an A/C freaking company!
I work in Healthcare! If a patient needs something, we are well equipped and prepared for the worst. Patients don’t wait! We drop everything and make sure we meet every expectation and need for the patient! How is this any different, knowing the summers are the worst in Arizona so preparation and equipment should be high and expected during the summer?! I mean, the Arizona Summers should be your busiest and where you should be making money? Maybe the head of your company doesn’t really know business and how to run a company properly.
Had a great experience with Morehart! My AC was short cycling and they were here within 2 hours on a Saturday with no extra charge for it being the weekend. Ryan was very professional and also took the time to show us what we can do in the future to not have this particular problem we had today.. Thank you so much I have nothing but good things to say about the company and Ryan who came out to look at the unit.. Will definitely use again and recommend to anyone.
A/c went out and had called more hart they sent a tech over pretty cool guy but poor diagnostic he had replace the capacitor for 337 plus the diagnostic fee on the a/c unit but fail to see that the system was leaking all the Freon I even told to make sure there wasn’t anything else wrong guy didn’t check anything because you would of notice the leak which he didn’t told me there was a restrict in the line but ac unit didn’t have any Freon from the leak it had they want to charge me 2300 dollar to add Freon replace a filter and clean a piston that had nothing to do with the leak how I was able to find leak had to call another ac tech and he was able to find the real issue
A/C went out and suspected it was a capacitor issue. The tech was quick to arrive approx 1.5 hours after calling. Friendly and diagnosed a capacitor issue quickly. The problem was they quoted the 45/5 capacitor as a $350 part. Diagnostic fee was $95 for 5 mins of work (not including driving time) we didn't even get to discussing labor costs for capacitor install, but I was already looking at $450. I did a quick online search for capacitors and saw they only cost $10-20. He tried saying theirs was American made and way better than the others. I went onto Moreharts google reviews and see they use Titan HD. When I searched that brand I see $18. I couldn't find a 45/5 capacitor anywhere in the internet world at more than $30. I told them I would do it myself, went to Ferguson HVAC supply with my old capacitor and they sold me a new one for $10 and said it should last 4-6 years. I installed it myself in less than 5 mins and A/C runs perfect. It is straight up unethical to charge $450 for a $10 part and 10 min of work. I could not in good faith trust or recommend Morehart.
On the plus side, this company is highly responsive and punctual. On the down side they are highly expensive. After a $100 visit, they offered to complete the work for an additional $450. We passed, purchased the $350 part for $20 on Amazon, and installed it ourselves.
Save yourself the $100 visit and find someone else.
