Ice cream was good with a reasonable amount of choices. Was pretty busy for a cold day, and seems to be busy whenever we drive by. Definitely not nearly enough seating.
Can't beat fresh homemade ice cream! Tried the biggest brownie sundae on planet Earth. Didn't disappoint. Fun to walk around outside and see the cows after getting a sweet treat.
BestIce CreamEver! A place definitely worth stopping at during the summer! My wife and I travel here from the Lansing, MI area a few times per year. Always stop here for ice cream in the warm season. Super-friendly staff, small operation and the best ice cream I've ever had. Different flavor variety everytime we go. Small parking lot but plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor area also has a view of the next-door dairy farm that supplies the milk. It is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Traverse City out in farm country so it's not just around the corner.
Amazing ice cream from a local joint. Delicious flavors that change daily and are made on sight. You can even gaze at the cows that provide for the delicious treats you're enjoying. My personal favorite is their Superman variety. Very tasty and can fulfill those childhood memories of fantastic treats.
My whole family loves this ice cream. They also have delicious dairy free options as well. It's on a beautiful farm so the view is really nice if you choose to sit outside. Don't worry about the cows. They're far enough away that you can't smell them.
Ice cream selections we're excellent and with lots of ingenuity. I had their honey corn bread ice cream. Corn bread with honey mixed in French vanilla ice cream. Watching the cows head out to pasture next door was cool. 4 stars because it's a little over priced and the ice cream wasn't as creamy as I prefer. Meaning it has more air in it than I like.
I don't know what Good Morning America was thinking. It's just your basic ice cream and there is absolutely nothing special about it Go get a pint of Ben & Jerry's and forget about the half-hour wait in line and the screaming kids.
You can pretty much go to the grocery store and get any brand of ice cream and it is better.
I remember when this idea started. Nancy would bring samples to my cousin Julie and we would have tastings of different recipes. No one figured this little Northern Michigan gem would someday be selected by their clientele as the number one ice cream store in the USA. On any given decent day in the summer the line outside is 50 people deep to get in and enjoy the best ice cream ever made. Thanks Bob and Nancy Plummer, it's a hit.
There are very few places I will wait in line for; monomers is always worth it! If you come to Traverse City, and don't stop by Moomers, you're missing out! Everyone loves the ice cream, my favorite is the peanut butter/pretzel frozen yogurt, in a chocolate dipped waffle cone is the best!!!
Delicious ice cream. Had the peanut butter sundae with brownie batter ice cream and it was pretty killer. It's cool going out on to the deck overlooking the cows too.
Delicious ice cream! Run by the Plummer family, it was voted best in America in a Good Morning America contest. We especially like the Butter Pecan and Coffee Toffee flavors.
