This is the best place to stay when in San Juan by far.

I stayed here while doing relief work in PR. Considering the post hurricane conditions Mario went out of his way to be warm and welcoming. He made us feel at home.

hotel was not what I expected room service never cleans the room 1 towel for 5 days theirs only hot water if the sun is out cold showers 4 out of the 5 days their the hotel was under construction noisy at 9 am no laundry facility's no pool basic cable like 6 channels 10 inch TV stove didn't work the entry gate lock was a pain in the a** the wall unit AC struggled to keep the room cool over all will not come back to this hotel is your into the rugged feall then this is your hotel i did not like it at all on of the sadest hotels i have ever stayed at

The MontCaribe Guest House is a great place to stay while exploring San Juan. Located in the heart of Ocean Park, it is within a walk to the best beach in town, the Kasalta bakery, the Ocean Park Cafe, and other restaurants and bars. The neighborhood is beautiful. There are tons of joggers and cyclists in the area. The room we stayed in was similar to a studio apartment: tile floors, a small balcony, a stove, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a basic bathroom. The staff is very friendly, and I felt very safe while I was there. The Guest House manager greeted us upon arrival and took us for a drive to point out great restaurants within walking distance. If you want to experience a laid back neighborhood vibe, stay here!
