Unexpectedly delicious brunch. I took my family here on a whim and we were thoroughly impressed by the food. Very very good tastes to be had. Delicious coffee too.

4 stars because I think the chef had a hard time preparing everything at the same time, my potatoes were closer to lukewarm than hot.

My wife and I visited Philadelphia and wanted to try an nice Italian restaurant for an evening dinner. I researched online and thought I found a gem of an Italian place in Philly. Based on the hours posted online they are open Sunday evenings from 4-8pm and when I called their voicemail indicated the same. I arrived with my wife, only to find the restaurant was closed without any signs on the door to indicate why. It was disappointing and we had to adjust our plans and find dinner elsewhere.

I live around the corner from this restaurant and I am upset that I have not tried it sooner. The food is amazing, the service is great, it's BYOB, and, to top it all off, the tasting menu for brunch and dinner are both very fairly priced. Not only is the food well-made and seasoned, but they do some great spins on Sicilian food. I would go all the time if it didn't mean I'd never fit in my pants again, haha.

Popped in here for a late dinner on a Friday and could not have imagined a better dining experience. The most troubling part of dinner was being forced to choose only a few items from what appeared to be an endless array of delectable dishes. The three of use ordered a different item for each of our four course pre fixe dinner -- all 12 dishes were minding blowing, from perfectly cooked shrimp to a cheesecake that left you wanting more. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel like we were dining in our own home. I can't wait to return.

The food was amazing and so was the service. We were here for a surprise birthday party, and the staff was insanely helpful, kind, fun, and SO excited to be part of it. They did an amazing job, and really seemed to enjoy working at the restaurant and with each other. And the food was incredible -- creative and delicious. Highly recommended!

Great dining experience. Chef's tasting menu is the way to go. I got the calamaridifferent presentation than I have ever seen before but I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it.

My wife and I have been here on five different times. MONSU is an unbelievable Sicilian Italian dinning experience. The variety of dishes, the attention to detail in each dish put this restaurant way ahead of the red sauce Italian American restaurants that are a staple in South Philadelphia. This restaurant is a top 20 restaurant and a hidden gem.

Worked 6 of us in on a busy Friday night. The menu and staff were wonderful. I had grilled octopus, lasagna and suckled pig. Others in our group gave rave reviews of the snails. Everything was prepared wonderfully. Can't wait to come back.
