Lots of good times spent here with friends and family. Great camp sites. On the river. Bath house is fantastic. Staff is very nice.
Riding an innertube down the river was fun. The staff was courteous. However, the campsites are very close and it was very crowded. We could easily hear snoring from the campsite beside us. There were lines for the restrooms and a party with a dj one night in the common area. The music could be heard throughout the campgrounds. We were looking forward to hearing the birds and getting in touch with nature. Instead we found an outdoor nightclub and a mini city.
I will never suggest this place to anybody. Try to make a cancellation and they refused and laughed at me on the phone and hung up on me and still kept the money did not refund my money at all. I will make sure I let everybody I know never go to this place ever if their manager can laugh at a customer and hang up on them then that's not a place anybody should go. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would.
We attend and dance at the Pow Wow there. It is a wonderful event for families to have fun and learn about a different culture. Highly recommend!!!
I booked a full month on a river site in April. We've been here several years in a row, so I thought we knew what we were getting. The shower house had feces all over the shower floor for a day and a half before it got "cleaned" up. Not scrubbed. Not bleached. Filthy. They don't do anything to prevent their grounds from flooding. So rain leaves standing water all over the campground. Even the seasonal sites sit in 8-10 inches of water. No grading and no irrigation tile apparently. The rain was enough that they moved us off the river, but rather than move us to a site to stay on, they ordered us to a site for 2 days and expected me to move my pop up again at their convenience. We had 2 cabins and 2 sites and left early. Mostly for the rain but we won't be back because of their staff. I was told that the level of care changes every season. What kind of business conducts itself like that? There are far too many options up there. Leave that campground for those who use the community shower like a toilet and like standing water.
Great campground! very friendly and helpful staff. i gave 4 stars just for the rest rooms- smelled horrible!! shower houses were really clean compared to most campgrounds. security staff was polite about us being a little loud on saturday night after the "quiet time". canoeing was priced very reasonably and had no issues in having to change our launch times. overall it is a great place. we will for sure be back!
Great people! Couldn't get there for a couple of summers due to an injury to me and another to my pup, but I have never had a problem. It is why we keep going there. The negative responses seem like people trying to get a refund and will make things up. Cya soon!!
Halloween weekend is always a great time for me and my family! Thank you to all of the staff for making it such a great experience!!
Great campground with friendly staff. We stayed in a cabin and it was great be kinda roughing it but still have electricity. There was a small game room and a nice playground for the kids. If you forgot something you can find it in the store. Plus they keep everything cleaned up, no trash and the bathrooms are kept clean and smell good. Definitely going back. Had a great time on the river.
We only visited for the tubing, so this review won't touch on the campground or its facilities.
The price was rightit ended up totaling just $50 for one adult and four children.
Aside from that, it was pretty interesting from the point of paying and waiting in line for the older woman to finish with another customer to the van ride to the drop-off point and then again to pick up some waters on the way out.
First, they need customer service training at the office desk. It's pretty piss poor.
Next, please upgrade your transportation. The van we rode in (me with four children between the ages of 10-12) appeared to be about 40 years old with a really bad interior. In fact, the driver's seat was half missing.
There wasn't a door handle on the inside of the sliding door so if there was an emergency we'd have been trapped unless the driver was able to get out and open the door for us.
At the drop off point, the driver dropped off our canoes and left just as quickly. Fortunately I had asked some questions in the van so I had an idea of what we were supposed to look for at the end of our three mile trip.
On the river we had a blast. We stopped along the shore and played in an inlet for a bit and the kids had a great time.
Next time, I'll either bring our own tubes or find another place to rent.
Absolutely love this place. My brother started booking trips twice year here about 8 years ago. He has since moved to Arizona but we continue to book at least one trip a year. We LOVE the ladies at the desk and they are always more than helpful getting us on our canoe trips. The bathrooms at this facility are nicer than ALL of the other campgrounds we have been to on Wally road. We were hoping to make it out for the 4 of July but we should have called WAY sooner. Bummer. We will DEFINITELY be seeing you guys in the future.
