Great park, gets too busy though and extremely dusty inside. They definitely need to spend more time keeping the park clean, don't even think about skating street wheels in here you'll literally die

Modern is one of the best indoor skateparks in the country. Not only does this place have ramps and obstacles for beginners all the way up to professionals it also very well built and planned out. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The icing on the cake is how well it’s setup with a pro shop and plenty of open area for parents and spectators. I’ve never had one bad experience at this skatepark in the 10 years I’ve been going to it. Even if you’re from out of town it’s worth a day trip. Thank you Modern for being here for the riding community.

It's really the only indoor skate place in Michigan. There are others, but they are subpar. The only problem with modern is that the ramps get quite Dusty and therefore slippery. The floors are also pretty slippery. I realize there's not much they can do about this. I think if they try to make it look a little cleaner and nicer for parents to hang out oh, that would be a big plus.
In response to the owner: nicer couches, reasonable TV, more lighting. I'm sure a coffee cart would go a long way and maybe make you some $. Try to sweep the half pipes more often. Just think about it from a parent's perspective like how could I make this place more comfortable for the moms/dads who are waiting a couple of hours. Though I realize you guys are probably on a tight budget.response / report this review -

I’ve been to Modern for an open skate and a private lesson and both were awesome experiences. There are a ton of obstacles for both beginners and higher level skaters. I also recommend Cory if you are interested in private skateboarding lessons. He was knowledgeable when I asked him questions, showed me a variety of obstacles if I was comfortable with them, and he helped me with any tricks/techniques that I wanted to practice. I will definitely be coming back to Modern again in the future!

Took my son here for the first time and he loved it!!! Everyone was so nice and helpful since it was his first time at a skatepark. Great place!!! Great atmosphere!!!

Good park. Can get a bit busy when the weather is bad and kids with no park etiquette are in. One thing that would make it better is more concrete element including a concrete bowl.

Open Long Hours with helpful, knowledgeable staff. Modern Skate Park has long time owner- George who is absolutely great to work with. If youve got kids or just want to have some fun yourself from Scooters, To BMX bike rampsyour sure to find the fun and in a clean, healthy environment. Classes are offered to insure everyone has a chance to learn and be Safe.

Great place for both kids and adults. No matter your skill level, they'll treat you fairly and you'll likely get to know the staff on a first-name basis. Even in their shop - where you'd almost expect to be led toward certain buys - the salesmen will lead you to precisely what fits your needs properly.

George and his team are great. They know their stuff and really care about the sports they cater to, and the people doing them. The skatepark is world-class, and their retail selection of clothing, media and equipment is pretty great too.

Great place to buy all the Skate, scooter, rollerblade,a d longboad gear. And if they don't have it they can order it for you, just talk to Eric.
They have a Skate park like no other. You could spend a lifetime there.

Rates are fair and the facilities are high-quality; staff are nice and the shop has a good selection of longboards, skate gear, and clothing. A great all-around indoor skate park, especially during the winter months.

Great staff. Awesome looking park. I came in for the skate shop. Pretty much the last remaining place in the area that you can get shoes from most of the major skate brands. Picked up two new pairs. Will be back in the future. Thank you for still existing fellas.

Have been to almost all Michigan's indoor parks, and its hard to justify paying for any of them after being here. Maintained well, great environment, everything you could want. Good skateshop with knowledgeable staff.
