Good food needs to be served hotter. Luke warm food is only good at a picnic.
Good friendly local place to eat and socialize. Dag gone, good people that own and run restaurant.
Great place to eat and get a drink. The owner and staff are top notch.
I have eaten here a few times alone and with family. The food is decent, I have not found an item there yet that knocks my socks off. Prices are within reason, clean restaurant.
Good food. Reasonably priced.
Always heard that this place was great,,however this is far from the truth from my family opinion. Dirty, smelly. Extremely overpriced. First and last visit.
Best Fried Mushrooms and Chicken Wing appetizers you'll find anywhere. Then, the Calves Liver makes my day. If you love liver, you'll likely agree that it doesn't get any better.
I stopped in for lunch today and it was excellent. I had the Gyro & fries.
The food is outstanding! A must stop if you are passing by/through Blackstone. I ride all the way down from Midlothian just to eat there. If you're a Yankee like me who loves flavorful food and lots of it, take my word for ityou gotta go here!
Food ok. Not very Greek like, more American food. POOR service. Will not be back. You know it's bad when McDonald's has better service. We went there to get drinks since our waitress never came back to check on us.
First visit - fast service, the gyros were delicious, everyone else's meal was good, friendly waitress. Didn't notice any problems.
Second visit - We both ordered sweet tea but received one sweet and one unsweet which alternated with refills. Decided to get the buffet.. The opions were boiled hot dogs or chicken wings. The chicken was over done and dry from sitting in the warmer so long and barely had any meat. There were flies and the restaurant needed some cleaning
Excellent breakfast, nice atmosphere, service was good and Jessica the server was really nice and sweet
Good food, great service. Love the people who work here!
And to the guy who said it smelled like cigarette smoke, you must have been somewhere else.
My friend and I came from Richmond yesterday for a fun outing checking out antique stores and gift shops on Main Street. We stopped At Mitchell's for some iced tea to go with lunch we had packed according to the strict diet we are on. We mentioned it to the waitress, wondering if they might serve the items on our diet list at dinnertime if we were still in town that late in the day.
We were surprised when she told us they could prepare everything we needed. When we came back for dinner, not only did they have everything on our list, but they cooked it according to our very specific instructions. We enjoyed the meal so much that we didn't feel like we were following dietary restrictions.
The waitress was attentive, but not intrusive, and we were very pleased with the service. But the most pleasant surprise came with the check. The cost of both meals was so low that we could hardly believe it. We left a hefty tip that was well-earned.
Thanks again, Mitchell's!
