So I ordered a half and half gluten free pizza, one side a jumbo combo and the other vegan. When I received my pizza, they had gotten the order wrong along with the proportions of the pizza being different if I had ordered a pizza with regular crust. I'd like to note that this is the first time my family has ordered a gluten free and vegan pizza together so we weren't sure how it would taste. It wasn't attractive looking but it did taste ok despite it not being what I ordered.
Along withJason the manager, Jason, didn't apologize for the mistake nor did he acknowledge that the order was wrong. Although the manager did remake the pizza, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have been ordering from Minsky's for years, specially this location because they have been one of the better pizzas that I've had.
I would hate this experience to be the reason I stop eating from Minsky's but I will see what the future will hold.response / report this review -

Great local pizza in a fun local atmosphere. This place can get a bit busy since it's also a bar but staff is always above average and pizza selection is great.

I will never go to the uninviting, unwelcoming, don't come back here again black person Plaza location. It IS NOT minority friendly. This one is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of the others because we have never had this issue in River Market or elsewhere.
The scoop:
We come in and sit down and immeadietly order a salad and BLT. A few minutes later 2 older ladies came in and basically did the same thing, ordered salad and tea or something. Then a guy ready to read his newspaper comes in and seats himself down on the other side of us. Funny he also orders a salad. Later, When we see her coming with 2 salads we think they are for us since we were here before both of the., but nope. She hands them to the 2 ladies. I'm thinking maybe those don't have bacon on them so me being nosey, I peep over and check to see what type of salad it is chicken bacon ranch just like we ordered. My husband and I looked at each other kinda freaked out a bit, but you know we could be jumping the gun here.
So then a few minutes later she brings another salad, so we are thinking this has got to be ours, there is no way it's for the newspaper guy,but nope. It goes to the gentleman reading the paper behind us.
At this point it's pretty obvious those weren't call in orders. One of the ladies gave me a look as if she would have given her salad up for me she felt so bad. I gave her look that it's not her fault, and to enjoy her meal. She needed that, she looked like she was about to cry watching this fiasco unfold and it wasn't even happening to her.
The next time we seen our waitress, she handed a young girl a plate of fries and a quick word.
SHE GAVE US FRIES SO SALTY.. it looked like CAKED parmesan cheese on top. She brought them out with a smile, and I asked her, "what is this we didn't order fries." She said oh those are garlic salt fries. I had never even seen that on the menu. Her friends gathered behind the bar while it was happening and chuckled quickly then disbursed when I looked that way.
Customers were confused as we were because it was impossible not to pick up on. One white lady picked up on what was happening and apologized on behalf of nitwit and left the establishmemt.

It's pan pizza. Was not impressed with it at all. Flavor was meh, being it is done in a pan, it had a lot of dough to it. The combo gave me a bad case of acid reflux in the middle of the night. I was really disappointed based on all the good reviews on here.

I love this place. I love the River Market area. Parking is sparse but not bad. Always great food. Always great service.

Great bartender Brandy. Great local guy Jeff made a great reommendation. Good vibe very good prices. All in all I'm so happy I came. I wish there was one in Minnesota

BEWARE IF YOU GO AS A GROUP - shady tipping practices.
We called ahead because we were a group of 12, and went to Minsky's on 7/22/17. There was no mention of a 15% tip being included at any point. We ordered, got our food (which was fine), etc. The waitress brought out itemized receipts with JUST the ordered items (again, no mention of a tip). We gave her our credit cards and she brought back a different non-itemized receipt that was higher. Still no mention of why there was a discrepancy. We were getting ready to tip an additional 15% when my husband finally realized there was a difference in the amount. Finally we asked to see the previous itemized bill, and the waitress FINALLY mentioned the fact that the new bill had a 15% tip added in - this was after most of the rest of our party had left AND INCLUDED 15-20% tips ON TOP of the 15% they'd already paid. Very scammy / non-transparent billing at this Minsky'sI hope it isn't across the board at all Minsky's locations.

My family and I dined in 5/6/17 and had a server named Christopher who was absolutely wonderful!
He was attentive and went the extra miles for us even when we didn't ask for anything.
It was MY 1st time going to the City Market location and because of his great service, I'll continue going to that location and I hope that even if I can't get him, service will be of the same standard.response / report this review -

Minsky's has fantastic pizza, and the River Market location is a great spot to watch sports or catch up with friends. The service is good too. Convenient parking is a bonus!

Please bring a Minsky's to Omaha! Each time I go to Minsky's Pizza the experience is second to none. The pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had, the atmosphere is casual yet clean, and the prices are reasonable. Since we lack a Minsky's in our home town my wife and I even make a special stop when we go through Kansas City in order to repeat such a great experience! Hearing that the owner is a University of Nebraska graduate is great.

Went into Minsky's on Sat night, fun atmosphere! We ordered salads and a small pizza. The salads were good, and came with a warm breadstick, then we had an Italian sausage pizza that was very good with lots of cheese! Definitely go back for more!! The waitress Holly was really friendly and was helpful on some questions we had about the River Market Area.
