If bringing a camper, you'll want to fill your water tank before arrival. No running water within the park, but I did spot a spigot on the east side of the road at a shelter just outside the park. Firewood is available, 2 bundles for $10. You'll need a vehicle reg sticker in addition to your camping reservation; the sheriff will drive through in the middle of the night, get out and check windshields for the sticker.
Campground was nice but there is a RR line with high speed freight and Amtrak and they'll blow their horns for multiple crossings nearby every couple hours when running through all night long, so bring ear plugs and something to create white noise. It. Is. Loud.
best place to take a nice run to clear your head
Great place for a family get away, even witnessed a wedding.
Great place to take kids swimming. Small beach and few people. Can get crowded quickly because of size, but I would still choose here 9 out of 10 times
Nice park. Big campsites. No showers or flush toilets.
TICK WARNING: They tore us up out there, we found 10+ between the four of us. The trails are overgrown and not maintained very well. We turned around and went back to the truck after going 1/4 way down the trail. If you plan on going, get some tick repellent. It's $5 per bottle (bottle is red and says "tick repellent" and most Walmart stores carries it in the sporting goods department.
One of Wisconsin's great state parks. Just watch out if you try and climb the bluff with pets as it's very steep.
Nice trails. Well kept. Beautiful.
Great little state park. Only thing that is too bad is the proximity of the interstate highway.
Great for peaceful hiking. Small state camp ground on a swimming pond.
Mill Bluff is a beautiful state park. The bluffs are beautiful and although there is only one trail to hike, it's special enough to make the trip worthwhile. There are a few drawbacks however: the Soo line freight train that borders the park is a great big, noisy, howling beast that runs all day and night. The other park border is the Interstate 90 94. It's also very noisy- trucks using air breaks, engine noise, tires howling. The noise is a distracting bummer for an otherwise very nice park.
