If we drive 45 minutes to get there again, I'll try and stick with the more traditional menu. The Swiss version of covering a filet mignon with a heavy mushroom gel was flat and disappointing. Probably an amazing dish for the Swiss pallet. The overall experience wasn't bad, it's just a shoulder shrug. We will try again for dinner sometime as the Rustic building itself is worth the trip.
Cozy rustic charm, excellent food, fair pricing for a four course meal. The caramel cider sangria was amazing. No vegan options but the chef was happy to accommodate. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful, food was outstanding. Service very good. People are very pleasant.
We had our daughter's tented wedding and rehearsal dinner here. It was amazing! The food was wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. Sandy, the owner, took such good care to make sure it was a perfect evening. It far exceeded our expectations.
Had a really wonderful time here. Came for a friend's wedding rehearsal dinner and was not disappointed. The food was top notch and the wait staff were funny and awesome at being very accommodating. If you have any food allergies, they are very responsible with their cooking and will make sure it is done right. The decor is also something to behold because there are not many places that take the time to pay closer attention to detail in the atmosphere.
I have been going here for about 40 years. So, many visits are because of nostalgia. The mile away is physically beautiful and Charming and the staff is caring and helpful, and professional. The food is cooked with care and I've never had a bad meal. This ranges from a schnitzel to a rib steak, or a rare roasted duck breast. The menu delivers an appetizer salad entree and dessert from the mid twenties into the mid-30s price-wise is a great value. Specific dishes like the onion soup augratin are excellent even though they come with a premium surcharge. It's not clear to me why onion soup should be an extra 4 or $5 other than I love it.
As much as I enjoy this place, and Will and do return often it is not the same as it was years ago. In my mind, then the menu was smaller, the food more classic and elegant, and the value greater.
Best dining experience I have had in a while. Quaint little place about a mile away from the Milford oval. I've been meaning to eat here for decades now and finally made it. The Delmonico Steak was perfectly prepared to order and the best steak I've ever had a restaurant. We will be going again and soon!
Really great food. Regular to 4 course is usually about $6 different.
A wonderful dinning experience. Friendly service with great food and atmosphere.
If you want a romantic evening this is the place to go.My wife and I go every Anniversary.
Our company has it's Christmas party here every year, the food is good if you're not paying but I wouldn't eat here if I had to pay.
We just had my daughters wedding at Mile Away. I could not give a higher recommendation. The grounds were beautiful. The staff thought of everything. They took great care of my daughter and son in law, providing hors d'oeuvres during photos, ensuring they had food and drinks throughout. Sandy thought of everything ensuring a perfect evening. The food was excellent. They even provided a doggy bag for the bride and groom including cake. For such an important event, I highly recommend Mile Away. It is obvious they have done this for a while and know how to do it right!!!!
Thanks!!!!
