This place is what you'd expect from Microtel, a cheap place to stay with amenities that reflect the price.

Pros: The micro-fridge has a freezer section that actually keeps my lunch cooler frozen without freezing everything else in the fridge. There is a nice nightlight in the bathroom that illuminates well enough there is no need to use the big lights in the middle of the night. The shower stream is normal, and the hot water is actually hot - be careful! The breakfast nook isn't anything special, but it is available at 3AM for early risers to grab a bagel, waffle, bowl of cereal, etc. The orange juice machine has been on every time I was there, so even in the evenings you can enjoy a cup of OJ, apple juice, or cranberry with your complementary cup of soup. The vending machines aren't as overpriced as you would expect either. For only $1.50 you can get a 20oz soda or Gatorade.

Cons: No auto fan on the air conditioner, so it constantly turns on and off all night, waking you up. The top of the wardrobe is angled down so you can't store anything (like dry food) up there. There are three pillows, each of which is a differing hardness, but unfortunately none were right for me. The towels are paper thin and I need to use two just to dry off adequately, but the front desk is more than willing to give you extra. The alarm clock screen is titled at a strange angle, so with the light on it is nearly impossible to see from across the room. The microwave has a dial for a timer, so instead of punching in the numbers like every microwave since the 1960s, you have to wiggle the dial and just hope that you've estimated the proper spot for the time you need (exceptionally annoying with times less than 2 minutes).

Breakfast is pretty poor compared other places I’ve been. The tv is very small but the staff are at least kind and understanding. The ac unit makes a lot of noise. Everything’s very clean, for the price you can’t really ask for much more.

Staff (including manager) was beyond rude. Somebody was smoking in the other room and it was coming through strongly. Took 3 days after the stay to get ahold of the manager. When I told her of the issues I had she did not care at all. Worst customer service experience ever. As far as the room, it was ok. But because of the terrible staff would not recommend to anybody. I also have a record that I was charged twice and had to be refunded. I wouldn’t give any stars if I didn’t have too.

I don't have one good thing to say about our stay. The door to our room was open when we arrived. There was used soap in the shower, but the beds were made. The sheets were itchy. The shower head wouldn't stay up. There was almost no water pressure, just a trickle of water. Then, some other guests were making a racket until 2am. Definitely the worst hotel experience I have had.

You get what you pay for. Rooms are TINY. Bathroom was filthy. We cleaned it ourselves and took the dirty towels to the front desk. They were black with dirt, dust, mildew and other peoples hair. Very friendly service at the front desk but there was no solution to our problem. I actually can't even believe I'm spending my money to stay here. We frequent the WV area for athletic tournaments and will never consider this property as an option

Nice large rooms. Clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Free breakfast. Was only there for about 12 hours between jobs. Would definitely go back.

So my husband works out of town more than he's home. His company puts his crews up in random hotels all over West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania etc. He has never had a problem with bed bugs in his 3 years with his company. So yesterday he came into his room for the first time this hitch and laid his bag down and took a shower. He came out of the bathroom and stripped the bed out of habit as he does every time he stays anywhere. He finds a huge bed bug! He quickly gets dressed and grabs his bag and leaves the room. He took it to the front desk and they moved him to a new room. He brushes off his bag and leaves it in his car. When he got to the hotel after working all night, he grabs only a change of clothes and goes in to shower. And again he inspectes the now two beds in his room. This time he didn't see any. So he goes to sleep. When he woke up he had blood on his pillow where they had bit him in his sleep. So he flips out and takes pictures and takes it to the front desk again! So they send in an exterminator and he finds a huge pile of them under the bed opposite of the one he was sleeping in! So the hotel treats the two rooms and adjacent ones also supposedly and writes his company a letter saying the only rooms they found any bed bugs in were the 2 rooms he had been in!!!!!! Are you kidding me?! And in their email offered to professionally clean his bags and clothes!!! Like it was our fault! So tomorrow I'm having an exterminator to my home to prove they are wrong to Point the finger at their guest! We are OCD clean. Sorry Microtel, this ones on you and your not shifting the blame our way. Word of advice before you bring your family here, CHECK YOUR BEDS!!!!!!!!

Mold in the bathroom, dirty sheets and towels, and blackout curtains that are as effective as an umbrella blocking the sun.

If that's not enough, I had to sign a piece of paper that said I would be quiet after ten, but my neighbor gets to blast his TV ALL NIGHT LONG!

I'm not loving the big band music at 6 am, nor do I love the A/C unit that can't decide if it wants to be on or off. The fridge rattling the cabinet between cooling sessions leaves me wondering what I paid for.

We arrived at the Microtel rather late in the night but we're still greeted warmly by the mployee there. He told us he was new but he still knew exactly how to handle everything and did so with a smile. The rooms were clean and I had no issues with my stay. If I'm in the area again I will certainly keep the Microtel in mind.

This was good for an overnite but not long term. Rooms are smaller than most with only queen beds. Also if you travel with a canine friend you can have them in the room with you. No coffee maker in room. Nice breakfast in am.
