When I walked in I was reminded of the Detroit Historical Museum only better. The grounds and the building are gorgeous.

This place is really amazing And free! It was really interesting to learn about the history of mining in Michigan (my great grandparents were Irish immigrants who worked in the mines), as well as some of the phenomenal geology behind these mines.

This year was the first time we stopped at this museum. It was a pleasant find. The exhibits and the history they portray were well done and interesting.
