We love this campground. There's tons of activities for both kids and adults. They cater to the family oriented crowds. The staff is fantastic. So helpful and friendly.

My wife and I decided to camp last minute to be spontaneous but that doesn't always work. The tent we had, had no frames or pins to hold it up, I still feel like she did it on purpose so we rented a trailer they have on site a golf cart to move around (which was really cool) got in a row boat, went fishing had a few beers tried to walk thru the trail at night.. didn't help that it's October Halloween season so we decided to go In the morning. Grilled, started a fire in the fire ring and ended the night under the moon barely visible by clouds and music by a gentleman with a guitar in the camp ground across from us and a few cups of crown royal and coke. None of that would've been possible by the great owner his son and staff. I'm sure they'll remember us cause we bugged them all weekend lol on a serious note everyone was so kind and humble. Everyone waved whether you were a stranger or a passer by. The surrounding campers had there patios decorated with lights even across the bass pond and the fresh breeze of the out door. It sounds cliche but in the best of cliches that you wouldn't mind doing again. Mendota hills campground is the best kept secret. I give it 5 starts and the thumbs up. I brought me and my wife closer together. We will definitely be back next year. On a side note.. there's a dog roaming around on grounds... harmless kind most nonchalant animal I've ever seen so don't mind her.
