This sanctuary is AMAZING!! The animals are well cared for, and the tour guides are knowledgeable and they clearly have a wonderful relationship with each creature. The groups are limited in size, so that it's an intimate, rewarding experience. We plan to return VERY soon.

A beautiful safe haven for animals in need. They were obviously very well taken care of! I walked away with my heart ready to burst from love, and my head ready to explode from the education I received!!!
I encourage EVERYONE to go! Its a fantastic way to support our animal friends.

Our guide, Tori, was enthuisiastic and knowledgable. What a special place and special people who care for these animals. I feel sorry for the woman who wrote the one bad review, she obviously didnt go to the website and read that you need to book a tour. You cant just show up unannounced. CALL AND BOOK A TOUR so this great place doesnt have its reputation slammed by someone who didnt even go to the website.

Good place to see wildlife animals and have the opportunity to interact and touch a few. Animals seem to be well fed even though some are in what seem to be a very small cage. Recommended anyway.

Awesome experience. Our tour guide was Manny. He was excellent. You can really tell he loves his job and is very knowledgeable of all the animals they have. Definitely a must do.

I think this is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a google review. I absolutely love animals and most zoos break my heart- I hate to see animals caged. But McCarthys was wonderful. They are rescuing animals and giving them the best possible life. Our tour guide, Kara, new each animal. Clearly, each animal is a beloved member of the family. The facility is very well maintained and very clean. The animals seemed relaxed and happy. I look forward to going back.

I heard about this place from a friend. I have been to wildlife tours in the past so I anticipated the tour being okay. But it was amazing. We had Kara as a tour guide and the amount of knowledge she has on each animal, how she actually knows every animals name, was amazing. She made the tour as good as it was. I would recommend this place to anyone and i would absolutely go back!

If you are planning a trip to Palm Beach County this is a place you won't want to miss, but you must have a reservation. They only take small groups in to see the animals at any one time. You're up close and personal with all the wildlife, and the guides share interesting stories about each animal in the refuge.

Great guides and close to the animals. You even get to hold some. We loved it. Better than a zoo.

We loved this place- it was perfect for our 6 and 9 year old boys. We were able to get so close to the animals and touch some. The guides seem very dedicated and gave wonderful tours. They seem to take fabulous care of the animals and love them very much.

Absolutely fantastic! Have you ever gone to a zoo and thought "Man. I would love to pet that thing." WELL HERE YOU CAN!

McCarthy's has been around for over 30 years rehabilitating and saving exotic wildlife. They provide tours and encourage interaction with the animals. The entrance fee might feel a little steep; but it is also a donation to allow them to continue to provide a home for every aviary, feline, and reptile there. Well worth every cent.

Brie was our tour guide. She was positive, articulate, and knowledgeable. Instant favorite. LOVE HER.
