It's small park to see peacocks and fishes and louts
They also have small park area to walk
Best time to visit is around June July that time peacocks are big and great probability to see peacocks dancing full feathers spread
Not a top of the line park. It deserves three stars because of the peacocks and the accessibility. Other than that, the park was mellow.
Google says the park is temporarily closed but we were there 4 days ago and had a great time hiking the trails and looking for peacock feathers on the ground. This is an awesome park to bring your kids to.
Married there
Where can u see peacocks running around after you spend some time at an overlook of the Colorado river and rich of Austin? Here of course, good for a short stop but it was late so part of park was closed. Maybe better when its done and open completely.
All we saw here was 4 peacocks and couple of their chickens. They're not afraid of human as much, and fly to the roof of the building to rest or show off their beautiful feathers. There was a track which apparently goes down to the river, but we just spent 15 minutes taking some photos of the peacocks. If they had a kind of guide as far as what to expect or to do here that would have been helpful.
FABULOUS! The peacocks are a nice touch, but even without them (some days they hide), you will get to see the nice lily pad ponds & gorgeous grounds of this what used to be summer home.
Beautiful old ranch home with water gardens. The nature preserve is as hard or as easy as you make it. Close to MoPac and right up against the river. Absolutely LOVE the peacocks!
A beautiful piece of Austin. Great combo of short hiking trails and picturesque garderns.
Peacocks Lilly ponds multiple nature trail by lake and in woods. Sometimes closed for weddings. Fun place for picnic
Today was my 1st time visiting the park took my daughter for her sweet 15 pictures in between the 1 hour we where their my truck got broken into. I was very disappointed they broke my window n stoled my purse. I thought that for being in a good neighbor Hood I never expected for this to happen. Don't get me wrong it's a very beautiful park but don't think I'll be going again
Excellent place to take a lovers stroll. Absolutely free! Peacocks are the main attraction at this place. Wear shorts and walk the trails it get a little steamy in the trees.
This is a local non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving this park and the peacocks sanctuary that exists in it. It's a hidden gem close to downtown and you might even say its our own little "Secret Garden". The peacocks are gorgeous and the grounds are well kept.
@ianofaustin A must for anyone visiting Austin. Peacocks are mesmerizing creatures, especially when they're in the mood to show off. This place houses I believe 14 or so just wandering around as though they own their retirement estate. Bring a snack and a camera, or perhaps a good book and settle here for a few hours. Then, don't forget to take the hike to the top of Mount Bonnell which is seconds away. #ioa
What a great hidden little gem in Austin!! Love it and the peacocks were all very friendly!
its great to live in a city with lots of outdoor activities. This park has plenty of hiking trails as well as a nice area with fish ponds to take pictures. The have peacocks wandering around.
Rented the Park and Cottage for a wedding. I am still trying to figure out what I paid forunfortunately the City takes your money but does nothing to ensure or assist with keeping the general public from entering the Park during your reservation time. I was very disappointed and would advise future customers to think twice before giving the City the exorbitant fee that they charge for the rental of this facility!!!
Very quiet and peaceful. The trail is nice, but not good for strollers. The grounds are well kept and quite beautiful. But the main attraction is the peacocks! There are several, and none of them seem too weary of people. Start by the house, walk around the ponds and enjoy the gardens then take a leisurely stroll through the trail.
