This is an excellent place to visit. You can only get there by boat. We were lucky to have rented a boat at cudjoe key marina.

The staff there was amazing. He had a GPS that we followed with way points that led us to Marvin key.

Without that, we would not have been able to navigate our way there.

The sand was pure white and the water clear blue.

We anchored and had a picnic lunch.

Really an amazing place.

Looking forward to going back this summer.

Beautiful. We rented a slide boat for the day (from backcountry boat rentals-great people) and anchored here in the water. My only disappointment was that the current from the tide made it too cloudy to snorkel the waters hereOtherwise this location was a little piece of heaven on earthand not very crowded, including us, there were only 3 boats anchored here on the day we went. The key itself was just a tiny little uninhabited island Still a definite 5 star.

I have been in BPK for several years and have never been to picnic island. I don't own a boat and the only time one of my friends invited me was on the weekend when it is very busy. I would like to know if anyone out there offers a "low tide" ferry service to the island. I would like to be able to go once a week but not on the busy weekends. It look absolutely beautiful! Its hard to find a nice sandy bottom and not muck! It looks like we have another "hidden gem" in our backyard.
