Marquis Villas Resort is a beautiful property in the heart of Palm Springs. It's only 1 street east of the downtown retail district, and across the street from the Courtyard plaza with movie theaters. Retail, restaurants, and entertainment are all within easy walking distance. The resort has all the necessary amenities, including pools, tennis, billiards, ping pong, laundry, etc. The suites are turnkey, with full kitchens. Wi-fi is strong.
Big, spacious rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. While the resort is Is older, it is maintained well. They are renovating and we saw some newer rooms. we stayed in an older room but aside from old box TVs and 15 inch flat panel in the bedroom everything else was wonderful.
What a wonderful experience. Quick stop on the road from San Clemente, CA to Phoenix. Char at the front desk couldn't have been nicer. Our new favorite haunt in Palm Springs.
Second time here. Primary reason staying at this hotel again is hotel room is pretty large. Although maybe 200sqf smaller than last because it was not s downstairs room. Didn't know there was a difference in room size till this stay, but we did check in later than the prior time. Service is great, tub was clogged but had a shower at least. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and will probably stay here again myself with my family. Location is great too, 2 blocks away from downtown main strip.
This place is family friendly and you can bring your own snacks and adult refreshments to the pool area. Rooms are fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Rooms are big and comfy. Balcony is nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing they need Is more shade by the pool. This is our favorite hotel in Palm Springs.
My family and I would like to go back next year. I really this resort. I had a lot of fun. Everyone is nice. Best for me was playing with my grandchildren at the pool. Also hang out at the pool. When you are in the water you don't feel the heat. We'll need 3 rooms with kitchens again.
Trust me. Anyone rating this dump more than 1 star is fake!!! This place is one of the worst dumps Ive ever stayed. The plus is the locationThat is all. It is old, worn out, dirty, creepy and ready to be shut down. They don't tell you the elevator hasn't worked in yearsthe hallways are dingy, stripped of all decor..the rooms are cockroach havens, the carpet and other flooring are filthy, decaying and just plain nastythe smell is stale..the furniture is worn out 1970's. The swimming pool is a milky color. Remember CRT televisions? They have those here. The beds have bed slept on since the 1970s also.how they call this a resort???
The location is very nice, close to town. Rooms have a lot of space and clean, they provide pretty much everything. Service is good, they have a swimming pool, tennis courts, and a basketball hoop, as well as a ping-pong table, and vending machine
Love this hotel. Won't stay at any other hotel in Palm Springs. Staff is awesome! They make you feel like family!! Rooms are a nice size, full kitchen, huge bathtub, and clean rooms. When we stay here we feel like we're at home. Good location and walking distance from the casino.
The interior halls are dingy and dirty. You can obviously see some age or wear in the carpeting. Parking is underground, but only one gate works. My room was on the second floor at the opposite end of the only way down to the garage. Just like the parking gate, the elevators on the far side were non existent and no stairwell past lobby floor. Inside the garage are piles and piles of mattresses, chairs, and other items. This facility feels like it's transitioning from a "Resort" to a hotel. The service at reception was great with lovely gentlemen working. Water ran hot and my suite was fully stocked with dishware and cookware, a coffee pot, refrigerator, toaster, blender, microwave and oven. The room was cleaner than the rest of the building, but maybe also not used in awhile.
Great location downtown, huge room for a great price, lots of property amenities, but a few issues. The fixtures and decor are a bit dated and somewhat rundown. The shutters were broken and didn't keep the morning sun out very well. Elevator was under construction. Staff varied from helpful and nice to a bit quiet and unfriendly. Can't complain too much because the size, location and price were great. Would stay again but I hope they make some improvements. Update: I am downgrading from three to two stars because I have received several sales calls from the company associated with this property. I was somehow foolish enough to give them my phone number when I checked in. Had to tell those timeshare vultures to stop calling! Thankfully they have left me alone lately, but I can't stand hard-sell timeshare people.
