Not professional crews, the captain didn't try deeper fishing spots, he also stopped and anchored the boat too often without any explanation(wasting lots of time) one of the mates even smoked in front of kids on the boat.
The mate even asked for the tips before landing, that was insane indeed.

I was on holiday with my family, we took this trip with 4 guys, it was my first experience fishing. i read some reviews before and I doubt to do this trip. Instead I want to go with a rental or pay a lot of money with some small boat. But it stil is same experience, lot of other fishers come back I noticed, Staff working hard to help you get off fish of line or new equipment. After 4 hours staff clean up your catch. i enjoyed

This place was awesome. Staff is very friendly. Caught so many fish. We had 12 people fishing in our group and we caught like 70 fish. They filleted them all for us and it was pretty cheap. Took it home, fried it up, and it was absolutely delicious. Watching them filet it and throw the chum bits into the water and at the birds was really entertaining. Fish and sharks were fighting over the trash bits. Was able to get a beer in the store next to the boat and watch the bird fight. I'd call that a good day.

I've fished on the lady many times and the staff is always really friendly from check in to getting off. Great for kids. They will scale and fillet the fish for you afterwards for a few extra bucks. I can't say enough how enjoyable an experience it always is.

I am only giving two stars because the trip was much less than I expected.

I didn't know we wouldn't even be going out of sight of land.

All they do is anchor up over Grunt holes, I can catch the same fish that I caught that day under any bridge in the keys lol.

I guess if you've never been fishing it's a good idea but if you're interested in serious fishing there are other group charters available.

Party boat wasn't too crowded and the captain and crew work hard to please. Easy fishing outting for the whole family, they'll even bait your hook and remove your catch for you. Walked away with 15 fish that they even fileted for me for a reasonable fee.

We were staying on Little Conch Key for the week and decided to go fishing with the Marathon Lady. Awesome experience. Caught lots of fish. Crew was helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely go back!

As a tourist in the Florida Keys I was intimidated by the sheer number of party boats, charters, boat tours etc. to choose from and I am very happy I found Marathon Lady. The price is reasonable, and me and my two kids had a great time fishing during the morning half-day session. I know nothing about fishing but they set you up with the rod, bait, and basically do everything for you, you just have to drop your line and hope to catch a fish. After you hook a fish they have staff running around to take the fish of your line, and mark it for you, so you don't waste any time and can turn back around and immediately start fishing again. I was extremely impressed by the overall efficiency of the trip, there was absolutely no time wasted.

Me and my two kids are complete novice fisherman but we caught 10 grunts in roughly 2 hours, plus 4 or 5 more fish that we threw back. When you get back to the dock the staff cleans your fish for you for a very small fee, and then we took the fish to the Fish Tales restaurant, which was also very good.

Based on my experience, I highly recommend Marathon Lady. They had a nice family feel, and the staff were really running around to help everyone out.

It was the 1st time for my 2 young children, and they were not dissapointed! ! The captain and crew were all very personable and helpful. Dorothy was amazing, and went above and beyond to help ensure that there were no negative surprises, starting with several call backs before our trip, to helping the kids with the most comfortable spot on the boat, to the friendly smile and well wishes as we left the dock. We caught more fish than we knew what to do with, and just had a great time all around. I would highly recommend Marathon Lady as your 1st choice. Definitely deserving of more than 5 Stars!!

This was an amazing fishing experience. The crew is so helpful, Josh, John and the captain (didn't get his name.) They circled the boat constantly to help and teach in a friendly respectful manner. My husband and I caught 35 fish but ended up with 17. We went on the afternoon departure and the weather was perfect. We were allowed to bring our own food and drinks in a cooler. Definitely recommend this company.
