Very good food. Happy hour with 2 for 1 menu. Nightly specials. Open late. NFL games & Game specials. Many screens.
I have been there several times. Twice I had a difficult time getting served after eating!! the last and final time I will go there I had to calculate my own tab leave, the money on the bar, and leave. It was not that busy and I waited at least 10 min before leaving. I do not exaggerate.
Very good food and really well priced.
I highly recommend the grilled mahi and shrimp here.
From 4-6 there are really good deals.
Wings were good but to make the Happy Hour drinks which ends at 6 and the $.35 wings start at 6 you have to get there around 5:30. I would suggest you order 2 drinks because if it’s 6:01 you pay full price. Also the waitress could be more helpful and told us that and that they had a $5.00 menu that also ended at 6.
Didn't eat. I sat at the bar by myself and had a great time talking with the locals. Much nicer inside that out. Reasonable drink prices.
I arrived after hours but didn't know it sat down at the bar asked to see a menu they said the kitchen was closed but that they would make me a drink. Friendly staff and friendly patrons at the bar who also work at a local restaurant
Bar tender was rude. Wasn't serving said he was on break. Wings we're okay
Goods reviews lead us to Marathon Grill. Pulling up in the parking lot put a bit of doubt in us as the facade is quite plain and unassuming. Our salad was very good as they make many of their own dressings. The ribs and patty melt were very good as was the key lime pie and carrot cake. Our server Amanda was pleasant and attentive. Much like the book analogy, don't let the building facade fool you, we will return.
Great local and late night hang out. TV's everywhere and an insane amount of beers to choose from. Reverse happy hour from 10pm-12am serves us local resort town employees after serving everyone else. Love my island love this bar!
Great place to eat and have a beer with your dinner. Best thing is that is open for food until 2am, a lot of place close at 10pm in the keys. The shrimp po boy was the best I ever had ( better than all the ones I tasted in New Orleans or anywhere in the keys). The service was great, remember is still an ale house, not a fine dining restaurant. Definitely will stop there every time I go to the keys.
Basket of Fries with cheese and bacon was awesome. I really liked my Philly Cheesesteak and my girl liked her burger. Nice and clean inside. Big TV's and a big bar. Nice place. Can't wait for this piece of chocolate cake. ✌
The Thursday evening was busy for this establishment, yet we were properly greeted and seated within fifteen minutes.
I had a rib eye steak that was exquisite, cooked exactly right, and a huge portion. I give them thumbs up also for their mashed sweet potatoes.
My wife had the Lobster Ruben sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was perfect and also a huge portion. The onion rings were just right, no grease with them. We both had to have a carryout.
Last night we had a dinner at a place on the water north of them, they don't hold a candle to Grill and Ale and the cost was twice the price!
If you're in the area and want a great meal, make it a point to make it to the Marathon Grill and Ale (you will not be sorry)
