Been working with Marathon for a couple of years after I spent some time bouncing back and forth from other repair shops. They not only have the knowledge and equipment to get the job done, but they also stand by their work. I got my front brake pads, calipers, and rotors replaced on both sides this past March. It was pricey but it was going to be anywhere I took it. My vehicle started smoking out of the left wheel well and I knew it was probably the caliper that was seized up. Sure enough it was. My vehicle is getting worked on as I type this and the parts are under full warranty still so that is one less thing to worry about. Really appreciate all of the help from the team at Marathon!

I made the mistake of taking my rims and tires to be mounted and balanced at Walmart in Cadillac. Every tire had some level of leaking to them to the point where I would have to add air every week. I brought my other vehicle to marathon to mount the tires and they have maintained the same pressure for 1 year and counting. I decided to remount the other set from Walmart at Marathon and these are perfectly mounted as well. Well worth the cost.

I had a wonderful experience with Marathon Automotive! They got my car in right away and their price was very reasonable. The office staff is extremely friendly and were very knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!

This was my first experience at Marathon Auto, and while the people were friendly and polite, I can't honestly say my experience was a positive one.

The service was simply for an oil change, and after a reasonable wait, they informed my that the mechanic put the wrong weigh oil in, and that they would have to drain it and put the right oil in. Okay, no real problem.

Next, when I went to get into the car after service there was grease and oil stains all over my light tan carpeting on the drivers side floor. I went back in to inform them and they looked for themselves, and had the mechanic who serviced the car (the same mechanic, I assume, who put the wrong oil in) take the car back in and clean the carpet. When finished, it did look better, but was not as clean as when I brought it in. Rather than say something again, I drove home, knowing that I would have to clean the carpet again myself. Total wit time was about one hour, a bit long for an oil change.

I'm not sure I will use them again based on my experience. I think that they need to take more care when servicing autos to make sure that they return it to the customer in the same condition as when it was brought in. My car is a pristine 2005 BMW and I take care and effort in trying to keep it that way, but it didn't seem it was a priority for them.

They worked on my car for three days. When I picked it up, I only made it 2 miles before a coolant hose became disconnected. The car hadn't had any other work done on it for 10k miles other than routine oil changes so I knew they'd done it, but they refused to admit it, wouldn't pay for the tow truck, and charged me $150 just to put the clamp back on the hose that they'd left off.

Marathon is be best auto shop in town. They provide dealer-level quality, at much lower prices. You can find more affordable options in town, but I choose Marathon when I need it done carefully and properly. They're experienced and comfortable with all makes and models, including luxury brands. They're always friendly and helpful, and provide great coffee and shuttle service.

In a word, CONSISTENCY!

I have never had to have my car back to Marathon for the same problem twice.

A professionally run operation, and they know how to listen.

I recommend them to my friends, and it's the only place I go for competent, consistent service on my car.

The good folks at Marathon Automotive have been providing me superb and timely service for over a dozen years now. I trust them; I know the job will be done efficiently and effectively, and I've never had a single issue with any work performed at Marathon. What I've appreciated all the more is the friendliness and kindness of the people who work there, particularly Erin, Dave and Marty who greet customers. Good coffee is always on hand; free wifi is available while you wait. And over the years, they've even welcomed Camry, my Australian Shepherd, who has been loved and adored by all and who knows where Erin keeps the dog treats. Yes, I'm paying a bill in the end, but how could the experience of a necessary car repair be made any better?
