Maple Donuts is a quaint, old school donut shop with great atmosphere.
Their selection is always changing, but features all of the staples you'd expect.
Day-olds are very inexpensive and fresh is also a good value.
I love this place and their donuts, they are absolutely delicious. Their staff is respectful, the donuts are fresh, and if you have AAA you get a free half dozen of donuts. The French curlers are to die for. Very impressed with the baking of these donuts. Although, I'm not a fan of their advertisement the billboards are slightly inappropriate and put a bad taste in my mouth. Usually when I see them I ask myself "really?… Is that necessary" while shaking my head.
I wish you could give zero stars.
This is what I wrote directly to Maple Donuts 2 weeks ago, and have not heard anything back.
I'm a new resident of York, PA and I've eaten your donuts which are very good, but I would be remiss, if I didn't speak up about how offended I am to drive the streets of my new home and see your "Maple Donuts Takes A Stand Not A Knee" signs all over the place. You might as well have a billboard with a Confederate Flag on it. York is a place that is so thick with racial division, you could almost cut it with a knife, and for a business that's suppose to be a pillar of our community, I find it completely irresponsible for you to put those signs up and it makes me as a new African-American resident of York feel like I've moved my wife and children to an unwelcoming city.
It's been said repeatedly by Black players in the NFL, they are kneeling to address racial inequality and police brutality against unarmed Black citizens of this country, so either you don't care that a section of American citizens feel like they don't have the same rights that you take for granted or you just don't pay attention to what these young men are saying. Either way, It would be a better look for one of the community members and business leaders of York to be a beacon of light in an already divisive racial climate, instead of the gasoline poured on that light (starting a racially divisive inferno). York deserves much better than that.
Good donuts and coffee. Everyone has their own opinion, most of them are wrong, unless they agree with me. If you are a Crispy Creme fan, keep driving south, you won't like the donuts here.
Service is always wonderful and the donuts have always been my favorite, but I don’t take politics with my coffee.
Chill out you guys. It’s your business and you can do as you wish, but it’s kinda overbearing. We all know Trump was elected in November. I think we can continue with our lives now.
Thank you for the yummy past.
While visiting and working here from Atlanta, Georgia, I discovered Maple Donuts while searching for Coffee one morning. This place reminded me of a donut house I used to freauent as a kid growing up in Colorado. My Lord, it is wonderfulI am going to be sad when I leave and at the same will look forward to returning to York one day.
Thanks for being here Maple Donuts!
This is the stop we make on our motorcycle trip from Baltimore to Littlestown. Please note that the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom is the ONLY one that I have come across that is in the correct position. Praise to the plumber. Worth the visit for coffee and a donut. Better yet was the billboard that I passed on the way there that said, we take a stand, and don't kneel bravo.
Coffee and donuts are ok I guess. I was really put off by the Trump banner and now they painted a truck with Scott Warner adverts all over it. It's your business and you are free to do what you want, but I won't spend my money there if these are the politicians you support. You obviously don't care about the local residents if you support these guys.
Love the Quality of the Donuts.. Friendly Atmosphere.. Friends from out of state always stop for a few dozen to take along back home.. No Maple Donuts in Sumerduck Va.
" I love this place". Friendly atmosphere to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with a variety of donuts. Come and join me.
Best donut holes around! (The iced ones). The donuts are really good too.
You say you've had fresh donuts? I've been here at 3am and gotten minutes old donuts. Believe me, this.. can provide a beautiful moment! Don't waste it! P.S. don't buy a couple donuts. Buy A Dozen!! Take them to your car! Don't forget milk or coffee!
I do love a good donut..that dosent give you heart burn.. This is itsometimes you may have to wait.so we sit at the counter and have hot tea or coffee with our " HANDFUL OF HAPPINESS"
Maple Donuts is a York County staple! I look forward to taking my kids here on the occasional Saturday morning, and them getting to pick out their own donut, and then working as a team to fill out the rest of our baker's dozen. The coffee is also what you'd expect at a classic donut shop: fresh and fulfilling. The donuts themselves are sizable, but watch out: some of the frosted and filled ones are a meal in and of themselves!
The variety here is amazing, the staff is always accommodating, and the atmosphere feels like you're stepping back a few years to a time where the "old guys" sip their coffee at the table, digesting the newspaper, and shooting the breeze. I will continue to bring my family here, as well as make the frequent stop to get a few dozen for my coworkers.
