Mercedes really went above and beyond to cater to my specific questions and menu items. She was quick in responses, willing to support and make changes last minute to the numbers and menu. I asked for specific ways to have the food cooked and her team cooked it perfectly. I hired caterers through MJE and they took the time to read my instructions before our wedding day and clarify anything that wasn’t clear. On our wedding day they set up the food, served the food, and helped in anyway they could. The Balsamic Chicken was a crowd favorite!!!! MJE really caters to you individually and is so willing to work with your needs! Highly recommend, It is hard to come across such genuine people in the wedding industry!

They said it! Awesome environment, so many people come to their weekly events, hundreds per year and thousands of people join - from different parts of the world. MJE is truly a melting part of what NY is all about in relation to Judaism and an epitome of the Jewish Community of the Upper West Side - very welcoming and spiritual home for everyone. The rabbis and their lectures are outstanding.

Really warm, welcoming Jewish community. It's a very open-minded modern orthodox Jewish community that is reaching out to unaffiliated Jews from all Jewish or with little or no Jewish background. There are all levels of observance and knowledge about Jewish rituals, customs and history. There are classes or learners services just about every day of the week. Just as important as the offerings, Rabbi Mark Wildes and his wife Jill have created a community that at its core is open to and welcoming to newcomers and those with much less Jewish connection - a city like NYC it's tough to find actual community
