Have stayed a few times. Staff is stuffy and condescending. Always some confusion about details. There dosn't seem to be a set protocol for the reservation process. It's truly a lovely setting but experience has been ruined every time by the heavy handed management. They act like property managers at a tenement house. Hoping it slides into the sea very soon!

    Awesome Honeymoon Experience!

We rented an RV and had nowhere to stay our first night. We were planning on just finding a Walmart parking lot, but then we found Malibu Beach RV Park. It was late by the time we got there, but the staff had left an information packet with our name on it.

It was dark and cold, but we made our way to our spot and set up for the night. At 7am we were awakened by a beautiful orange sunrise. We looked out the window and to our surprise had an entire expansive view of the beach and the ocean!

How was this possible! We made our coffee and walked around the RV Park. It was so quiet and serene.

The showers and bathrooms are wonderful and kept clean. Th general store has so much stuff, you dont really have to leave the property. It was such a perfect way to honeymoon. I cant wait to go back!

The views! This place has some beautiful views! Nice dog runs. The spots are pretty tight but manageable. They weren't very long either. We had to disconnect our tow dolly and car. Make sure if you have a car that it is able to be parked on the site and not hanging out in the road. Another downside was that we only had water and electric for $55/night. They do have a dump, but it was just a little inconvenient. Well worth it for a 2 night stay.

I found this place to be perfectly located and the park to be extremely clean and well maintainedand the staff were nothing less than very friendly and helpful. Reading the poor reviews for the place and seeing people talk about a "patch of dirt" - California is a desert people - you won't get lush grassand the sites are still very good. And the comments about unfriendly staff are baffling - I found them to be terrific. I can only conclude that some people are getting what they give.

Our labrador was welcomed and given a doggy biscuit and the walking trails are wonderful to walk your dogs and they have waste bags to pick up your pup's mess.

Prices were in line with other places but we were there on 12/23 so it was low seasononly 80 bucks for our ocean view.

Amazing views and helpful staff! It can be a bit expensive during the summer but the location makes it worth it! Make sure to splurge for a ocean view!

    2017 Update:

Still a great park with wonderful views but be aware this is definitely an RV park! Many of the sites are extremely small and if you are unlucky enough to get parked next to an inconsiderate neighbor you will have an awful time.

Unfortunately we got stuck next to one such neighbor. He was in a giant class A RV which honestly with the slides out was way too big for the site he was in. He pulled in so that our doors opened to each other. Normally this is okay most people are considerate in tight spots like this. But he setup his out door entertainment system literally 8 feet from our RV. We couldn't sit outside and enjoy the views without also being forced to see and hear what ever movie this guy decided to play at the time! Awful experience!

We're in a smaller rig 24' rig and we were told we couldn't pay extra for a site with more space because we were too small. But they have no problem jamming a Class A into a spot that is way too small for it.

Having traveled the entire country by motorhome, I find Malibu RV Park to be one the best locations. The expansive ocean views and access to National Park hiking trails are my favorite part of this park. The park is very clean, organized, and well-run. What the price maybe higher an average, but it is totally worth it for the experience.

I'm between 3 and 4 stars on this because of price, but read on:

    Pros:
    - Personnel are very friendly and helpful. They were also able to get us 2 spots side by side a couple days before Labor Day weekend.
    - Bathroom and facility in general is very clean and well maintained.
    - Dog-friendly and have about 100 yards of nicely kept pet trails.
    - Nice little store with essentials.
    - Great views!

    Cons:
    - Expensive at $155 a night including $3 per dog on Labor Day
    - Store hours are 9-9 so had to make my own coffee in the morning :)
    - Spots are generally not level within a few inches, but can be adjusted with drive-on blocks (which almost everyone was using)
    - In my spot, the sewer hookup was near the back of the space and my 20' hose barely reached when I backed all the way to the way to the wall.
    - The dump line was higher than my hose connection at the RV making dumping slow and tricky. And messy.

Hint: The mountain-view space we had was $120 cheaper than the ocean view, but still had a very nice view of the ocean!

Nicest RV park we've stayed at. Somehow we received a spot about 5' too short, employees were on the spot getting us a longer space even showing us the three and letting us choose. Amazingly you can hear the waves at night. Worst part is the lack of restaurant choices nearby.

My very first trip to the west coast. Malibu RV park is very nice great ocean and mountain views. Spaces are a little tight. We had an ocean view that did not disappoint. Short walk to the beach and crossing four lanes of traffic a little scary. The showers and bathrooms are very well kept and by far the nicest place we stayed on our trip down the coast. The team members of the park are friendly and very helpful. The assisted with our needs. The price is well worth it especially in this area. We are planning another trip next year and will be staying here again. Great location close enough to other area attractions if you do not mind sitting in traffic. Thank you Rachel for making our stay a wonderful experience!

Nice place overall. Spot was a bit small for out needs and lack of pull through access made backing in very tough. Price is high but I guess Malibu is pricey. No amenities to justify the price though, other than the view. Has a well stocked buy very over priced store on site.

We have been very disappointed with this RV park's facilities. For the price of $100 per night (including tax), you would think they provided clean showers.they don't. Additionally, the sites are small and the tables old and rickety. I would not recommend you stay here unless the partial sea view is worth the moneyThis park is about three times the typical RV park which provides better facilities and amenities.

Great location overlooking the ocean. Convenient to destinations in Malibu, LA, and the local parks. This park is fantastic for the views. Definitely splurge for the ocean view if you can. The sites are tight with rigs lined up side by side and hardly any room for a patio or outside sitting area. Before taking your site, make sure you know whether to back in or drive in. Our site was billed as "your choice" but the reality is, it was a back-in site. We faced in anyway, but luckily we had long enough power cords to reach the power on the other side of our site. Also, our neighbor backed in, so that made a tight site even cozier. The resort needs to make all of that clear or offer utilities on both sides. The resort also needs to enforce rules on laundry hanging, dogs outside the rigs, etc. Overall we enjoyed it, but don't come here if you want space or privacy!

This RV park is hands down one of our favorite RV parks to stay at while in the area. The price is very reasonable for the area with a fantastic view of the beach. You get both an awesome sunrise and sunset. The staff are very friendly and keep the area very clean. The bathroom/showers/laundry are very clean and well kept. It's a short 20 minute drive to Santa Monica and a 40 minute drive to Venice Beach and the surrounding LA area.
