Stayed in the smoking section and the entire building smelled of mildew. Very outdated on everything but the workers were nice

The lobby/halls smelled like a funeral home and our room smelt even worse. 2 of the 4 guests who stayed have developed bedbug rash/bites. We didn’t find any evidence of them when we first arrived but the following morning one person had a bite and several days after our departure a multitude showed up on another. DO NOT STAY HERE!! BED BUGS!!
The staff was nice and friendly though

I said thia place was nice i was wrong. We had mice in our room and a bunch of people was half naked partying at the bar till late in the night couldn't sleep even if i stayed another night . but after we seen 3 mice we packed up and left. I will never go to this place and stay again. I recommend the hotel 6 down the way. They are clean and no MICE that i saw.

For starters, men and women were standing at the front door and lobby in their underware having a party. I thought i was at a brothel. Loud music played through out the night and the rooms were not kept up. There were cracks in the walls and ceilings and the walls were dirty. I felt like i was at a pay by the hour motel. Overall it was a unsanitary place. I would not recommend this place to others unless your desperate

Where do I begin? Zero stars should be an option on this one. Arrived at the hotel after a long day of traveling. Not real nice, but cheap and it was later in the day so we decided to stay. We were at the hotel for about two hours when, we heard a knock at the door. My husband got up and answered the door. The hotel owner and his son pushed the door open and came in. The owner said he knew our type that we were drug addicts and the room had a marijuana odor! I am a nurse and my husband works for a big corporation. We aren't anything he said we were. He went through my purse and everything else. I was laying in bed when he let himself in, watching a movie. We received a refund from the Agency that booked us the room and the owner continued to harass us on our way out, to our RV (we have been traveling in it and just decided we'd like a hotel for one night) Now, if I wanted to use illicit street drugs, why wouldn't I have just stayed in our RV for the night?! Absolutely insane. Avoid this place. At all costs.

Great hotel for the price. My wife was looking for a hotel near Cedar Point (for us and our kids). Most places were over $175 a night. She found Magnuson hotel for under $100 (which is located really close to Cedar Point). The hotel is clean, rooms are big, staff is friendly. We weren't expecting a world class hotel but we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for the money. There's a heated pool and game room for the kids. HBO and a restaurant/ bar for the adults. Overall a decent family place.

Location was good. Lobby was lovely. The room left a little to be desired. One pillow case dirty and the toilet would barely flush.

Great bar. Have Tavania make you a drink and Aries make you the burger that c ant be eaten. Fantastic. Room to park with a truck and trailer. Staff was great. Slept very well. Shower pressure was hot and powerful. Everything was clean.

We stayed here on 10/22/16. The front desk staff member was friendly but not in a hurry to get off the phone from what seemed to be a personal call. The lobby area is spotless and welcoming. Sadly, when we checked into our room we were greeted by a pungent, heavy musty smell. It's apparent that there has been water damage to the building. The pillows are overstuffed and the beds are fairly squishy (as opposed to a firmer bed). Our stay wasn't entirely unpleasant, but we will consider another location the next time we come to Sandusky for Cedar Point.

The location to Cedar Point is amazingly close which is very convenient. I hotel is very outdated and definitely needs a face lift. The room itself was big but kind of dirty. Found a few hairs in the wrapped up towels which was very disgusting. The light bulb in the entry way was missing and the light above the vanity did not work. The service was fine and the food in the restaurant was OK.
