I had one of the best Chi Lattes I have ever had here had he had amazing cold brew coffee. The staff was amazing and super helpful. I could completely understand why it was busy every time we passed by.

This is one of those staple places in Grand Rapids that you have to go to so then you can say you have been there. It is a really cool atmosphere and the whole concept of it is very unique. My only complaint is they do not offer just a plain non flavored black coffee, all of the black coffee is flavored with some sort of fruit or something else. If they offered just a normal black coffee I would give it five stars. I would say stop here though.

Beautiful minimalist aesthetic gives little distraction when going here to work or read. The staff at the Fulton location is knowledgeable and friendly. The coffee is on par with some of the best cafes in the nation.

Very good hot chocolate! I don’t exactly have a taste for their coffee, but it is still very good. Friendly staff too. I’m glad they opened a couple new locations so this one isn’t always so crowded.

A thousand places to get incredible craft beer on Grand Rapids, but try to find a great coffee shop. Ladies and gentlemen look no further. Fabulous place, great service and a really kick as coffee. We had a beaker of fresh roast coffee and a latte Great coffee

Love this place. Hands down the best coffee downtown. My husband loves the nitro coffee and I love the coconut milk latte. They make their coconut milk in house and you can tell. So flavorful and creamy. Great service every single time. Comfortable seating and nice music.

Botique coffee shop in downtown GR. Fantastic coffee but a little pricey. After drinking Mad Cap for the past few weeks the coffee is very worth the price but it is still a bit much. The whole bean can be bought by the pound which averages to about 20-25 dollars depending on the roast. Coffee is also available by the cup. Place is rather trendy and popular with the college age so be ready to rub elbows with some handle bar mustaches, skinny jeans, and man buns.

My favorite coffee in Grand Rapids. Pick up a fresh bag of locally roasted beans and brew at home. I like to buy beans roasted within the last week for freshness, and madcap has beans roasted the day before purchase. Only the freshest!

Quite simply the best coffee shop I have ever been to.
Incredible coffee paired with a modern atmosphere. The baristas are all incredibly well trained and are friendly.
A must-visit for anybody who is into higher-quality coffee and is willing to shell out an extra buck or two for downtown parking.response / report this review -

The place is a rip off honestly. It's a chill place, looks like any coffee shop you would run into in Denver, Co. Go to the Coffee shops on Fulton. Way more options for half the price. The bitter end is great, not as much into downtown. The other option I can't think of the name but they are located on fulton right by the children's museum by a couple other neat food places. They have amazing muffins and food there all fresh, location is very beautiful with tons of art.
At Mad cap I bought the Buddha tea, tasted like any ordinary tea, but for $10 and it was smaller than my hand.response / report this review -

I have not been to Madcap Coffee but as I have recently bought their whole bean coffee online, definitely the best coffee I have ever had!! Although a little pricey, it is 149% worth it!!!! World class delivered to your doorstep!!! When made at home it taste already 110% better then Starbucks and I am a huge Starbucks fan!!! :( I could only imagine if I would go to the Madcap Coffeehouse I would have given them a 6 star rating!!! Which they don't have that option!!!!! :( ;)

Everyone was getting me pumped to try Madcap, and I tried it and I wasn't particularly impressed especially with the price tag. It's a big bright modern coffee shop, so if you're into that go for it. Staff is always great though so no worries there.

This place has very good views, great atmosphere, and decent coffee. The mocha we had wasn't very hot, but it was tasty. The room was quite loud, so not the best place for studying or contemplation. The prices are also quite expensive, for small serving sizes.

Favorite coffee shop in the world. Cool atmosphere. Talented baristas. A refreshing injection of culture in an otherwise culture less Michigan.. almost feels like I am downtown Boston.. until I walk out the door.

I ordered coffee online for a gift for my boyfriend. He's a HUGE fan of Madcap Coffee. When I ordered online, I wrote a note to ask if they could discreetly package the coffee so my boyfriend wouldn't find out what I ordered once it was delivered (Madcap Coffee has really awesome packaging, but it says "Madcap Coffee" right on the box). They absolutely helped me out! They are so amazing! Plus their coffee is kick ass :) Highly recommend them!
