EDIT: Recently scheduled service for my Chevy volt. Made an appointment online for 3:00 on Thursday. Went in, I originally scheduled it for a drop off but I thought, what's the longest it could take? It was for a battery coolant check and a diagnosis.. first, these two things were going to be billed for two hours of labor, which is way too long for those services. Second, no one ever told me that the car would be staying overnight until a volt tech would be in to look at it. So I waited, until 5:30 when I finally went out and asked what was taking so long. The advisor told me that he wouldn't even have anyone in to look at it until a later date. I was never told any of this, not during my booking of the appointment, and not when initially brought my vehicle and talked to the advisor. So I waited 2 and a half hours for someone to tell me that my scheduled (quick and easy) service couldn't be done until another day.
ORIGINAL: This dealership is really top notch. It was my first time buying a vehicle and because of that I was nervous and honestly had no idea what I was doing. The two staff I worked with were Jeff Mariner and Eugene Sellaro (the finance manager and salesman respectively). Eugene was low pressure, not pushy but still gave me all of the facts i needed to know about the purchase, my perspective car and my trade in. He was able to walk me though every step and it was a huge relief to have someone that at the end of the day just wanted me to be in a car that I wanted to be in, not just a car that he wanted to sell. On the business side of things Jeff really helped me understand the whole loan process, ran the numbers for me and laid everything out for me really well so that I truly understood what I was singing. He, like Eugene was not pushy and seemed to have my best interest at heart. I would very highly recommend Berger Chevy and they have made a customer for life. Great work guys.
Our sales person was friendly and very helpful. They were able to get us our financing and picked out a car that matched up with that. It made car buying enjoyable.
My recent service experience at Berger Chevrolet was exceptional. My family and I have purchased and serviced our vehicles at Berger for 35 years. As a matter of fact our son, daughter and I purchased 3 more vehicles from Berger this year. They are a locally owned family run business with a great sales and service staff and always offer excellent prices!
This place is frustrating and awful. Clearly, they are only interested in selling cars and not in helping people out. The guy I talked to just played on his phone while we went for a test drive. And then was very rude and basically lied to my face. He only addressed my partner (who is male, I'm a woman), and wouldn't do what we asked. We left when they wouldn't agree to a price, and then they called us on Monday THREE TIMES! They didn't call ME, they called MY PARTNER. It was to be my car, and I'm paying for it. They were basically BEGGING us to take the car! I called him back and said we still need to talk about price. He was extremely rude to me! I basically had to tell him, look, I want to talk about it more and I won't agree to anything until I'M happy.
I get my truck serviced here often. I usually go to the same service rep (Jeremy ) and he's extremely consistent, polite, and seems to understand me when I come in asking for random work and upgrades. I think he, and the dealer do a good job on providing necessary information and are fair when explaining the difference between nice-to-have options versus must-have options.
I'm writing this because normally I avoid the dealer when it comes to repairs, but after the first couple experiences, they are now my go-to for first opinions on just about everything, and my rep goes out of his way enough to deserve the recognition.
It was horrible. I set an appointment time and there was no sense of urgency to keep to that appointment. When I was finally assisted, I was quoted a price and was told that the price dis not reflect the free tire rotation or discounted oil change but I was charged more than my quoted price. I was asked when I needed it done and I said now that is why I set an appointment. I am a pediatric night nurse that handles special needs children on ventilators and that I needed to sleep before work. The 2 hours I was quoted took almost 5 hours. The shuttle service that had supposedly bee. Set up never happened. I had my roommate come and get me. I never got a call from your staff. When I called to check, my specialist treated me like I was being ridiculous and said the mechanics were on lunch and would get to my car later. I reiterated my situation and he couldn't comprehend what I was saying. My roommate had to drop me back at the dealership where I had to stand in the service department and stay there to get anyone to do anything about getting me my car. I had been awake over 24 hours and had to leave for work in 3 hours. Needless to say, I barely got any sleep before work which is dangerous. I also had to train a new nurse which does not work well when you are not rested. I had to remind my specialist of the discounts I was entitled to that he had already taken the paperwork for and he still did not fully discount the free tire rotation I had received when I bought my car from berger last year. I am beyond upset. I don't care how many people know and I have no intention of ever returning there for service. When I finally got my car, they had changed my radio station and seat settings so I had to readjust everything to be able to drive. This was hands down the worst service experience I have ever had and you should be ashamed.
Easiest car buying experience I've ever had. Hugh Collins was our salesman and he worked with my wife and I find a SUV that fit our budget and exactly what we were looking for! Highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new car.
We had a pretty good car buying experience at Berger. We did a lot of research on the used vehicle we bought and everything checked out that it was in good shape and the price was fair. I am thankful we waited overnight for all financing options to come in because we got a much better interest rate the morning after we agreed to buy the vehicle. Customer service was pretty good. I would buy with Berger again as long as the used vehicle is good condition like the one we bought.
Selection at Berger is very good. They had the exact color and options I was looking for plus the best price. I thought I would have to pick it up the next week, but they got it prepped, insured and plated (with a new plate) in 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon. Impressive.
My husband and I are from Pennsylvania but we found a deal on a suburban online that we thought was worth the drive to Michigan. We dealt with Todd from sales and he had everything taken care of and ready to go before we even got there. He was very attentive and prompt! Once we got to there James from sales met us and once again we were provided with excellent service! Jeff from finance had us out the door in less than 30 minutes after sitting down with him. I would highly recommend this dealership! We love our suburban!
I came in for an appraisal on my leased car that would be up in December and was able to trade it in to upgrade to a brand new car. I was able to take my new car home within an 2 hours after deciding to trade in and they were so quick with the process. Pat was the sales dealer that I worked with and he was amazing. He helped me get my cross rails off of my old car after we were not able to initially. That meant a lot since I bought those for my car myself!!
Went in to lease a new Cruze. Eugene has helped other members of my family leasing vehicles through Berger. He is very personable. He made the process so easy! Helped me find what I wanted within my price range, helped make sure I was able to drive a new car that day and made sure I got the best deal I could.
I had the pleasures of dealing with Nick in their used car dealership, I can't be more proud and honored to have worked with this man. Nick went out of his way for over a week to help me get into a newer car just out of bankruptcy. With the help of his finance team he was able to get me in a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu and I'm forever grateful. I just want to thank the entire sales team, finance team, and everyone else that was involved. I recommend everybody go to Berger Chevrolet because I know that they can to get you in a newer vehicle for the right price.
