Worst and I mean worst customer service I experienced in my entire life. I went to Macy's in Hilldale mall to get a polo jogging suit that was locked up. I asked the person at the cash register if he could unlock the jogging suit so I can purchase it and it took them 45 minutes to come and unlock the suit. my friend that was with me ask for a manager. Unexpectedly the one of the managers was at the register and she stated well I am a manager so my friend politely asked her can you please come unlock the polo suits yes one of us will be there with you shortly waited another 10 minutes finally be customer service representative came to unlock the suits and he had the wrong keys then he went to search for the other pair Keys which took another 10 minutes. I finally got the suit and walk to the register where the manager was at. There were two customers ahead of me one of the customers finish their transaction the other customers waiting on a pickup from online order so I step to the register in the manager rudely walked away. I asked her don't you aren't you going to check me out she said no because I have another customer waiting for me. I will never purchase anything else from that Macy's. I felt so discriminated against because of the color for my skin and the time that they wasted and I shouldn't even spent my money.
Came back here instead of going next door to get my MK purse. I remembered the lady that helped us a couple weeks ago and told her we would be back to purchase. She was extremely helpful both times! Super nice to talk to and I walked out of there with a brand new MK purse and wallet! Would definitely shop here again 😊
Shopped the entire store, all three levels and only had one employee interact with me. I even said hello to two employees and they just looked the other way. A simple hello makes a person feel welcome in any store...
I never seem to find what I am looking for in this store. I went for something in jewelry and, though there were two people behind the counter talking to each other, and I walked around and around the counter, they never stopped to help me they even went in and out of the little door to the counter but never asked if I needed help. I was looking at a $400 purchase. So I went to dresses, where they only had about five styles of formals. The fitting rooms were closed and customers had to walk across the store to try things on To salvage the trip, I went to shoes. I wanted to try on a couple of pairs, but couldn't get help enough to ask for a size. The last time I went to this store, I needed brown tights. There weren't any. It seems like a simple thing to pick up, but they were out. I often find they're out of what I need. I like Macy's okay, but not this location. Customer service could salvage my impression of it.
We went shopping to purchase hubby a suit. It had been some time since we were suit shopping and felt a bit out of the loop. Michael in men's fashion was absolutely amazing! Took my hubby under his wing and got him outfitted quickly. Michael's 40+ years of experience in men's suits was so incredibly helpful, his decades of experience and in depth knowledge set us at ease instantly. He is the man to see when you need a suit!
Consistently terrible customer service. Plan on waiting 10ish minutes at a counter before anyone will assist you.
Went in with my mother and she had a question about shirt sizes. We approached two associates, both on their phones. One looked up and said to the other, "you can help her if you want, I guess." The other completely ignored us and they both went back to looking at dresses on their phones and talking with one another. We just stood there, sort of shocked at this blatant disrespect and laziness. Won't be back. Sad because Hilldale is such a cool place otherwise.
They only good items was the cologne, but, it was way overpriced.
I like the deals at Macy's. If you like to dig on the rack, you'll find some gold in there. BUT, you can't get any service in there, absolutely horrible. It's a complete dead zone. So depressing.
It was fine, the women it the jewelry department wasn't very knowledgeable or helpful. But she was courteous.
Didn't have either item I was looking for. A water proof mattress pad or a short sleeve button down for an interview.
Very helpful staff. Well stocked and has something for everyone.
Decent price and selection, but service is extremely lackluster. Men'swear is always disorganized and the associates there don't really seem to want to help much. Went in a few days ago for some cufflinks and the one table with cufflinks was a jumble of half-open boxes, loose plastic, bowties and someone had spilled coffee all over the table and a few of the items. The thin layer of dust across everything on the table told me it had been that way for awhile. I went somewhere else.
Macy's is one of my family's favorite places And now they let there employees smell like drugs I was so disappointed in the Macy's staff. One of the staff members I think her name was vivane looked and smelled high while doing my facial I'm so discussed that I won't come back this is not the first time I've smelled illegal drugs on Macy's stuff I won't come back my last stray
Had a very bad experience with purchasing and returning fine jewelry Xmas present last year. This year I purchased on-line a pair of Ralph Lauren Mocs that were listed as 48.70 sale price, they could not "adjust the price" to reflect the sale. Had to purchase at regular price then do a price adjustment once I received the shoes. I finally received the pair and they were in damaged, scraped condition! How does a store like Macy's have such horrible service twice? So disappointed in my experience with this store. I will never shop at Macy's again!!!
