Summer band concerts and a nice place to watch the trains going by
I hope you like trains. There's a steam locomotive and caboose, but they're fenced off. There are also nearly constant real, noisy trains. At least 4 in the 30 minutes we were there. My kids didn't mind, but if you wanted peace, I'd suggest you go elsewhere. The park has a band stand and a lot of open space, but not much play equipment. The slide was disassembled when we got there, and was more like a tower. Still, there were swings, a merry-go-round and a couple of teeter totters. And it wasn't as busy as other parks in town.
Cool park, but a lot of loud train traffic right next to it.
Its a cute clean park. Very nice.
Nice clean park with summer time band concerts
Not much here, but it was clean and a nice place for the dog to run.
This is a quiet, neighborhood Park that kids and families enjoy in a safe neighborhood. There are frequent trains passing through the edge of the park the kids enjoy.
Summer band concerts are on Thursday evening from 8 until 9 p.m. By the Emporia Municipal Band. They are free.
Small park right next the railway track. There are a couple of tables and a playground for kids. A gazebo is located at the center of the park. The highlight is an old steam engine and a railway car placed inside a fence. The kids would love it. Trains go by quite often on the tracks right next to the park. The kids should be excited to see them too.
