Entrance was confusing and hostess was annoyed that we didn't have a reservation. It was our first time there. Lunch is till 2:30 and we arrived at 1:30. Once we got our table, the staff and food were excellent. Price was fair and expected, $50 for 3 people. I will go back, now that I know how to get a table.

We LOVE Luna's. Exquisite foods with excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere. Jazz on certain nights as well. Nice!

This is a very upscale dinning establishment. Very attentive staff and high quality food. Our only complaint was it was a little bland. They need to spice it up. They don't do military discount, but gave us a free desert. Very classy.

Food was very good as usual! I recommend making sure you pay attention to the specials the chef here knows what they are doing!
First Saturday evening of each month there is a jazz jam. Talented people from all over pop in unexpectedly to play with the set house ensemble. Reservations for this night are highly recommended.response / report this review -

My wife and i had our 12th anniversary dinner here last night and it was a wonderful experience! The food was fresh and delicious, the ambiance was relaxing, and our server was extremely polite, professional and hard working. I would definitely recommend Luna's to anyone looking for something a bit more refined than the usual chain restaurants.

My fiancé and I had the best experience here! They have amazing mouth watering food, wonderful staff and delicious cocktails! The atmosphere was very intimate with romantic lighting, smooth and casual music, every last detail was perfect! You definitely want to check out the live music across from the dining area while you are here, the music was great.
The owner is a very nice man who takes great pride in his business! :)
Don't waste your time at other restaurants for date night or special occasions, you definitely need to go to Luna's!response / report this review -

Always great food and service. Quiet atmosphere. Most of the customers are older, and the decor reflects their old-world taste. However, it is a fine place for a date or a special occasion. I recommend a reservation on special occasions. Luna's also has a piano bar across the hall from the restaurant proper that has lots of comfortable seating and you can order almost everything on the menu there. The drinks are honest, and the bar is dark and cozy.
By "honest" I point out that in Georgia a bartender can put whatever amount of liquor in a drink they want--no minimum amount is mandated. Therefore most drinks in restaurants in Georgia are watered down by any objective standard known to man. IMHO many restaurants water the liquor down before they short shot the drink too. Juan does not short shot the drinks or water anything down.
Wherever you eat/drink in Gainesville, don't drink AT ALL and drive because the City of Gainesville cops literally stalk EVERY "watering holes" in town after 9PM and follow every vehicle and stop everyone they can for any reason they can dream up. Start by checking your lights (headlights, turn signals, tail lights, brake lights, and tag lights) before you leave the house.
They once followed me to the city limits after dinner. We both were hoping I would get pulled me over. ;) (I'm a lawyer, so we had different reasons for same hope.) They have pulled over my kids for spurious reasons after hours too. I've represented plenty of people who were followed from downtown to the city limits before being pulled over then put things in the report not on the video. You might beat the rap, but you won't beat the ride downtown. Don't say you weren't warned.response / report this review -
