I typically do not write online reviews if I have a positive experience at a business and that's not right. Good businesses deserve positive feedback! I have been going to Luis at Salon Luminosity for over 6 years and in that time I have only received amazing and wonderful hair service. I live 2 hours away from Salon Luminosity and I wouldn't drive 2 hours each way for a bad haircut and style. Luis is professional and he does an unbelievable job on my hair. I have highlights done and I don't think I am an "easy" customer due to being quite particular about how I want my hair to look. Luis has done my hair for weddings, family events and vacations and he never disappoints. I always receive compliments and am told my hair looks amazing!

Luis did my hair on the evening of July 11th and again he did an amazing job. Luis is the owner and I witnessed him intervening with a stylist and another customer. The other stylist was in the station right next to the one Luis occupies. I can understand if someone is new having them next to Luis so he can supervise and ensure a customer is receiving excellent service. I can't speak to the skills of other stylists because I have only gone to Luis, however I have never seen anyone with a bad hairstyle, color or cut leaving the salon. I have also had other services at Salon Luminosity such as massages, brows etc and all were excellent. I would imagine in training a new person Luis would check their work before a customer would leave the salon and he would ensure they had sufficient experience and credentials as a hair dresser before hiring them.

I can say on July 11th I witnessed something I have never seen in all my years of having my hair done. The customer next to me was cussing (i.e. Saying the f word numerous times), verbally abusing the stylist, refusing to pay for services and the police had to be called. The police apparently knew her by name, which was not shocking given her behavior. I can understand not liking a service I have had hair cuts from other salons/stylists and been dissatisfied. My reaction or response was to pay, leave and not return. I would never speak to a stylist in that manner especially in front of other customers. If you are dissatisfied the way to handle it is to pay, request to speak to the owner privately and perhaps ask if he would be willing to redo your hair otherwise go somewhere else and have it fixed. I have done both in the past before I met Luis. I have never had a salon refuse to fix my hair. I think it depends how the request is communicated and how clear you are about your expectations and what you are looking for. I can say everyone in the salon was shocked by the customer's behavior and my understanding was that she would not be welcome back in the future. As far as price goes Salon Luminosity is expensive, but you get what you pay for and they do amazing work!

Luis and Kaiti have been doing my blonde highlights/low lights for years. They are AMAZING with the color, have so much knowledge of colors and the chemical components behind it, and basically have the magic touch in getting the blonde to look natural and exactly how you want it.
Also- the salon is very modern and has great style inside, I always feel very comfortable there.

They did good on my hair for my wedding day but I had to redo my makeup when I got home from the salon because it looked horrendous. I should have just done my own makeup and saved the money!! I tried telling the girl what I wanted and she didn't listen and did her own thing. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted my eye makeup to look like. Really disappointing. Didn't draw my eyebrows on how I wanted them and put wayyyy to much foundation on.

It was my first time dying my hair and I kind of had a vision of what I wanted. Aaron was so easy to talk to and has such a welcoming personality. He helped exentuate my vision of what I was expecting and made it 110 times better than the image in my head. I am in love with my hair and definitely plan on coming back, requesting Aaron, of course!

Luminosity hosted a Cut-a-Thon event for a local preschool and ALL money went to purchasing materials for the children. So, first of all, that's super awesome, amazing, and generous. Supporting the community is what ALL businesses should be doing - A+ for them, right away!

But then, I sat in the stylist's chair. My last haircut was a mess and, quite frankly, I'm not a very decisive person when it comes to my appearance, so I was a challenging customer. Luis took the challenge and absolutely ran with it. He put a little washout color in my hair for fun and gave me an AMAZING cut. I was SO HAPPY with the result!

A great business with great people! The salon itself is clean, well-kept, and super nice. I highly recommend them! I have definitely found myself a new salon!

I have been going to Luminosity for 5 years. Mainly I see Luis or Katie, but all of the stylists have been amazing. I can be a bit difficult in that I never know exactly what I want. They chat with me and help me based on my lifestyle and face frame. I also have my brows done here, she is great. I wish I had more time to check out the Spa services, it is so relaxing on that side of the building. I'd recommend all of my friends to go there.
