If you get the chance to go, do it! Beautiful nature trails, waterfalls, bridges, trees, views, wildflowers. Check website for open gate days and go!

Absolutely beautiful location with spectacular scenery. Saw a bald eagle flying above the gorge!

Who the heck closes a park at 5 in the afternoon in the middle of summer? Not only is it still hot and bright as hell, they herd you out like dumb sheep.

Absolutely beautiful. The only negative is that they open only once a month so lots of cramming of people during the summer. People being disrespectful of the rules set in place, swimming and lots of off leash dogs.

One of the best waterfall sites of Georgia. There are two waterfalls, a small and a very large and grand waterfall to see here. The decent and climb to the bottom of the larger fall is a little tough with so many steps but the pay makes it worth it. This area is private property but open to the public twice a month. If you call ahead and volunteer, you can arrange for group camping on top of a ridge near the waterfalls where you will have a great view and can even see Chattanooga.

Lula Lake is only open the first and last Saturday's of each month from November through April. From May through October they are open first and last weekends of each month. The gate says "when the gate is closed Lula Lake is closed" and they mean it. We found out the hard way. It is private property and is operated as an example of conservation and rehabilitation. As the very stern man told us, Lula Lake is not a public park but a private sanctuary opened to the public only on the days they say. A lot of people didn't know this, including us. We had to talk to the Sheriff. Go on open days only.

The land trust is open the last weekend and first weekend of each month. It is free to enter but they ask for donations. Well kept property and it's very nice. The waterfall and lake are something you should see if you have the chance

This a private land trust not a public state park. With that in mind it's a fantastic place to appreciate nature and conservation.
