Stopped by here with a friend. It's a fun experience although it's a bit pricey! You are paying for the experience as the stones you find are about what you would pay to buy "gems" in bulk online. Emerald bucket is $35 and you will get rough emeralds however, you can buy a larger bag of the same online for about 20 bucks. As I said, you are paying for the experience. They are clear about the fact that the buckets are "salted" if you know what the term means. It can seem a little misleading if you are uneducated in the field. We played along and had fun! We even paid to have a couple stones cut just for fun. Common sense people.if you found a GIANT ruby would you just hand it over to be cut however and mailed to you!? C'mon! If you go here and get mad that you didn't strike it rich at a "mine" then you are silly! Remember that you are paying for the experience and just have fun with it! Don't think you are going to strike it richit's a family business in the business of making money! For entertainment only!

This is a hidden gem. We flumed their largest bucket available which the price includes two stone cuts for free. I found beautiful gem stones. Had 4 stones cut and made into beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. You get to keep all the gemstones you find. Highly recommend for a fun day. Staff very helpful and extremely knowledgeable about gems. Can't wait to go back again next summer. Closed in the winter months.

If you want to see what this mine is about order your gemstones from amazon, put them in a bucket and fill it with dry sandy dirt and dump it out in front of your kids to "mine them". It'll be much cheaper than having to drive over there and seeing them do it. This place is not a real mine, they have dirt on the side that they use to cover the gemstones that they buy in bulk from their vendors in buckets. ONLY FOOLS think that this is a legit mine, this place is a disappointment.

Love love love this place, the people, & the experience. We will be heading back for our fourth time. Last trip my daughter & I both had gems cut and set, they were both gorgeous!

Posting pictures from our trip yesterday! Even with bad weather everyone there is as helpful as possible, even offering towels to those of us who had gotten wet in the rain.

My fiancé and I went on a day trip the staff was really friendly the younger boy that worked there seemed to be to most knowledgeable one and was very pleasant while we picked a gem to get cut. It was a little pricey but never the less fun.

We had a great time here today with my son's 5th grade class. The staff was knowledgable, friendly, helpful, and really seemed to enjoy what they do. I highly recommend this mine-especially for a fun hands-on learning experience.
