Lovers Key in Estero is a beautiful Florida state park and beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Nature trails, flora and fauna, and white-sand beach, quiet and comfortable. Bring a cooler with food and beverages (sorry, no alcoholic beverages). $8 entry per vehicle with 3 or more people.
Gorgeous beach, bike trails, and access site for kayaking. The store has rentals and lots of fun items to buy. The staff is great and very knowledgeable and helpful. A tram drives back and forth from the beach every few minutes, and there's a place to buy snacks and drinks on the beach. Great place to find shells! Lots of birds and wildlife to see
The park is well maintained with passionate staff. Around 4:30 pm the bugs start to bite so come prepared. The park closes shortly after so just buckle down and enjoy the natural elements.
Native American land with visible shell mounds. Extremely interesting 😍
This is one of my favorite local parks. Is a great place to go relax on the beach. It is also a great place to go fishing . There are also some nature trails that are very nice and you can also bring your bicycle or rent a bicycle and ride around the island. There's also a concession stand where you can buy ice cream and cool drinks to cool off .
Perfect place to catch the sunset. They also have trails, a butterfly garden, fishing docks, a few picnic tables and don't forget the beach. Pack things like bug spray of you venture into the trails! It can get bad on some days back there. Dogs must be leashed on the trails and some areas of the beaches they are not permitted so be sure to check the signs. The water way here can have a bit of a rip current so be sure to keep an eye on the kiddos! Lots of family fun at this park
Doggie Beach!! Dogs can run free in the sand and surf. but check your Tide charts. At High Tide, the trail to the beach can become covered in waterAlso on The Weekend it can be crowded
Such a beautiful beach and park to hang out at, sea shells for days!! Great adventure spot for a single person, couple or couples and even the whole family!!
Love this park..lots to do canoeing..shelling..dolphin n mantee watching and tons of beautiful n amazing wildlife..good fishing..I go at least once a week ..
Lovely and great service - we ordered 2 chairs and a huge umbrella. He drive them out, set it up, and said just leave when you're ready, I'll take care of it! AWESOME! For $25 total for the whole day, plus a free tram to the beach!!
Great scenery, great fishing, however the marina( marina is nice, staff is great) has parking that is hard to differentiate for someone like me who is an out of towner. We parked in an area that had no specific designation and nothing is marked besides handicap. However we receive a $48.00 parking ticket for parking in a boat trailer area despite no clear marking. Now, that my be because it is assumed we should know, but being from up north we had no idea, and the account took a hit due to it
This park has it all. The beach is beautiful. There is a kayak & paddleboard launch on the inside calm bay water. There are trails that cut through the island. Love this place!
Went to the Doggie Beach. It's great for what it is - a perfect place for dogs to socialize, play, and run around without leashes. Recommend wearing some type of shoe, as dogs tend to pee and poop on the beach.
Went out canoeing and was so exited about seeing manatees and a snake. The beach is great for seashells. And the lady how lent us the canoe came out after we returned our gear and gave our daughter a bag of seashells. Made her week to get a bag full of treasures! Thank you so much!
Took an afternoon walk along the beach and loved the naturalness of the beach. State has done a great job with the park. Well worth the $8.00 fee We will definitely be back to kayak or canoe. Great place to enjoy the beach and out of season, was not that crowded.
I know of no other place nearby where you can access a pristine, white sand beach, ride easy dirt bike trails, and kayak along mangrove creeks -- all in the company of bald eagles, manatee, and dolphins. Fishing is also permitted. I never had the chance to try but it looks like it would be stellar!
Bikes and kayaks are available to rent at moderate prices. Arrive early to get good parking, especially during the tourist season.
Well worth spending a day or two here. We drive an hour from home on Marco Island because it's so nice. Highly recommended!
