I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!!. The older lady is just flat out rude and their customer service is awful. I made a hobby belt for my boyfriend for Christmas and they guaranteed if I had if finished and in to them by Nov. 15th they would have it done by Christmas. I gave it to them on Nov 9th and they told me they couldn't say for sure if it would be done by Christmas and I told them what they said before and they were like oh yea we moved the date up. How was I going to know that, they didn't send a email or call or anything. I call every week trying to find out the status on my belt because they answer and say ill have to find out and call you back and they never do. It's now 4 days till Christmas and I have no word on where my belt is or whats happening, I haven't heard from them or seen my belt since Nov 9th when I dropped it off to have it leathered. I went in today on dec 20th and she still would not tell me where it was. she said i will call the guy and ask what number it is in line to be leathered which she has been saying she would do for a month now. so i asked her to call right then and she wouldn't and got very rude.

Over the past couple of years, I have purchased and needle-pointed two (2) belts and three (3) keychains. In that same time period, I have experienced a quality of service so profoundly stomach-wrenching,that I can barely stomach the pumpkin spiced latte that I am currently consuming. I have finally decided to voice to an employee there. Do I like their products? Yes! Do I like to come in with an order and be told a reasonable cost estimate? Absolutely! Do I like to come in and pick up my order to find out that they are now charging me twice (2X) as much as the estimated cost without any amendment whatsoever to my order? Absolutely not. Do I want your attitude along with your poor attempt at explaining why your routine artwork took so long to do? Please, save your breath. Don't give me a quote and expect me to sit still as you charge me double what was agreed upon. All I can say? Capitalism is a beautiful thing. I will search else where for my needlepointing needs; preferably a supplier/vendor/merchant who doesn't quote prices by the seat of their pants (get it? Belts? Pants?). #EndRant

every time i go in i am greeted a the door with a smiling face i could walk in and see over a hundreds different designs for a number of different projects, could buy everything in the store if i wanted to. overall great job!

i called looking for a belt for my son and was thrilled with the customer service. I was sent pictures within minutes and then asked to see others which promptly were sent as well. My son decided on a belt and they sent pictues of choices of background colors in perle cotton, vineyard silk, and pepperpot. It will be shipped out tomorrow. I couldn't be happier with the store!

Wow, this place is amazing. The selection is abundant, and they will even custom design a belt for you. The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. They answered all of my questions, monogrammed my belt canvas, and even gave me some red thread for free! I cannot wait to work on my belt and get back in there. They will finish the belt for you, needlepoint the belt for you, and you can even purchase a finished belt if you need a quick gift. The ladies were so nice, I love this locally owned store!

I have been familiar with this establishment for over a decade. Truly the best needlepoint shop around. Their products are consistently beautiful, especially the hand painted ones. Incredible variety of needlepoint canvases for all types of projects (from stockings to pillows and from belts to key chains). The finishing services are prompt and look beautiful. I have never been disappointed with the results of any projects here. The women who run this shop are incredibly dedicated to their work, you would be hard pressed to find better people.

WOW was I pleasantly surprised at the Eye of the Needle!
I needlepoint lots and have never seen such beautifully painted canvas that was so easy to follow done right in the shop as is the beautiful finishing work. I am very impressed and will drive across town to buy at the Eye of the needle.

This is the best needlepoint shop in the South. I have only ever had pleasant experiences with the women who operate the store. They pay attention to detail and truly want to help you create a lasting memory through this craft. I have sewed 4 belts and countless keychains from their shop. Not to mention, their hobby belts are spectacular! Do be sure to order early though, as each hobby belt is hand painted and they tend to get backed up in the months leading up to Christmas.

Eye of the Needle has been a favorite shop of mine for more than 25 years. Cheryl is an amazing painter! I have been pleased with many key fobs, belts, and other canvases for many years. Customer service is excellent! This shop has gone above and beyond to meet my needs! We are fortunate to have a shop with such a wide inventory in Lexington, KY! Thank you Eye of the Needle!
