Great place to camp and hike. Not 5 stars because one of the hikes is to the restroom/showers. They were clean and spacious, though. No amenities other than hiking trails.

It is a very nice campground. The only thing we didn't like is that the C loop doesn't have a restroom and shower. In order to use the shower you need to hike or drive to the next loop. You would think that each loop would at least have a outhouse! The restroom that we hiked to was very nice. The view is nice from the park. Lots of different cactus growing in the park. Some of the cactus are over 200 years old.

Excellent place to get away from the city and get outdoors. Has equestrian, hiking, and biking trails. Many tails connect in to the Superstition wilderness trail network for more intensive hikes. Camping spots, both for tent and trailer are available on site.

We love this campground! Nice and peaceful. You feel like you're far away from civilization, but it's a fairly short drive from our house in South Chandler. We got a premium site that has electric and water and it was $30 a night. So worth it to have this view of the Superstition mountains right outside your tent! You can also walk to any of the trails easily. Facilities are kept clean too.

Parks and trails are excellent. Facility amenities are nice & clean. Only gripe is that the Park personnel seem to be very grumpy and don't like to be there. Had a knock on my camper at 7:30am, asking if my "towed vehicle had a pass, or did I try to sneak in last night??" Really?? Try to sneak in a car, when my motorhome has the tow bar hanging off the back? Later in the afternoon, I was literally yelled out to stop and back up my car when I did a rolling stop through the front gate with my tag in plain site. Better be a complete rule follower for this campground. Or just go visit many of the other fantastic AZ campgrounds with friendly and helpful staff!

Amazing views, epic scenery and well marked trails, Sunset here is stunning and just under 45 mins from downtown. Worth the jaunt if you have time

It's a,beautiful campground. Well maintained with plenty of space between site. The swoers and restooms are great also.

It's amazing to have such a nice state park so close to the metro. There is a nice variety of trail lengths and difficulty levels. Be sure to check the website if you are interested in guided activities, such as birding and geology hikes.

Absolutely sublime state park. The variety of cactus and wildlife here is remarkable. Awesome hiking trails around and up to Flatiron. Great views of the city (at the top) and numerous areas to picnic.

Town with a lot of charm but very commercial. Nice on tip based shows throughout the day. Others activities possible from 7/8 dollars.

Hiking, biking and camping! Camping is well priced! Huge State park! The views are unmatched! Its in the desert so bring lots of water more than you think you need! Ther is a lot of wildlife to enjoy! As well as the mystery of a lost gold mine!

Visit during the springtime for some beautiful Arizona wildflowers. There are a number of trails through the park, some that cross into Tonto National Park, and range in difficulty, which is good for various groups. Bring lots of water because it does get hot! There are a number of benches and places to sit to get a great view of the Superstitions. And with Apache Junction close by along with other attractions, it is easy to make a day trip of this from Phoenix.

Amazing state park with great trails. Very well maintained and there is a $7 daily charge or a $75 annual option for all AZ state parks. Very clean facilities and bathrooms. We did the treasure loop trail which had excellent views and took about an hour to complete the 2.4 mile loop. Highly recommended.
