$4 for a very short walk through. The stairs are cool, but you can only look at them. I felt this was worth $1.

It’s just a beautiful little Chapel with a very interesting history. Once you go into the Chapel there’s an automated voice that describes The Whole history of the Chapel. It is said that the Chapel was operated by a small group of nuns and they found this little man towell you have to go there, to find out the whole miraculous story. They have a small store where you can buy all kinds of things of faith, like rosaries, Holy water and many, many other things to buy. Don’t miss not going there!
Because it is a Holy place with a beautiful and outstanding history. See you there!

After seeing the old movie about the staircase I wanted to see the staircase for myself. It was pretty interesting and a real engineering feat. The staircase is made from very beautiful wood and the craftsmanship is excellent. It is a really interesting story and from an engineering standpoint it was interesting to think about. It is definitely worth seeing if you are in the area.

A must when visiting charming, historic Santa Fe. The famous 'miraculous stairway,' is an architectural phenomenon. According to their website: "The Staircase has two complete 360 degree turns with no center pole for structural support. The entire weight of the staircase rests on the bottom stair." It is also stunning and one of a kind. Best to check prior to arriving, since they may be temporarily closed for private functions.

The Loretto Chapel is such an awe inspiring and beautiful chapel. The staircase is amazing to witness, but we found that the whole church was designed so beautifully and would be wonderful to see on it's own. Truly an awesome site to visit.

Beautiful chapel with the miraculous staircase. My grandmother attended thw Loretto Academy and went to Mass in this chapel when it was still consecrated. Lots if memories.

Amazing to be able to see a miracle of God (whether you believe it or not). As well, this pretty low cost of a place is pretty nice. Obviously, the staircase is the specialty, but it's still a nice place for prayer. The gift shop for sure had many good merchandise to buy as well as your casual Christian goods!

Beautiful Chapel and the staircase is awe inspiring ! the overall "commercialization" of this place is a bit too much though. There was no brochures for free (you had to buy them in the gift shop AFTER you see the stairs???). Also, there was no way to UNDERSTAND the audio speakers (telling you about the stairs / chapel) while in the church. It was low volume and echoed badly, so thankfully, I did a LOT of reading before I got there and explained to my kids how the stairs came to be. The gift shop was nice and a LOT of stuff to buy !!

This chapel is truly breath taking! I recommend getting there very early in the AM to avoid crowds if you want to get some killer shots of the staircase. Regardless of crowds, the chapel is so intricate and unique it's worth the $3 admission.

Surreal chapel when you hear the story and sit back to appreciate the view of the stairs. One of my favorite chapels I've visited. It's close to the center of town and other nearby beautiful churches.

I'm a builder and master carpenter. I've installed spiral staircases, but never built a free-standing one like you see here.

If you have any appreciation for incredible craftsmanship, then you must visit this private chapel. The price of admission is well worth it to see a staircase built with hand tools, no electricity and no modern power tools.

I guarantee you'll walk out of this chapel in awe of the talent that carpenter possessed.

Presently, I cannot say anything, as I have yet to experience the chapel, however, my son, who is a professional carpenter was very moved by the staircase when he visited. I will be visiting in March so I will give an update to this post. First, to the minister's response on one of these posts, you should not be so hasty with curses, especially if YAHWEH has not filled your mouth to speak it (law of reciprocity is still in motion). If one read the the Scripture accurately, one can see that many times HIS Angelic hosts were employed to do different feats in order to minister to HIS people or prophets. When HIS people pray, HIS PRESENCE can minister to many; far be it that we presume that the "I AM" is not capable of ministering in ways beyond our feeble interpretation of HIS NATURE, ESSENCE, and OMNISCIENCE. I believe that whether HE sends HIS messengers, angelic or human, all should be respected, and give thanks to YAHWEH for hearing the heart of HIS people. We should all be thankful that HE is not prejudice against HIS creation. May HE be glorified as the ONE WHO hears from Heaven and does not neglect HIS own. AMEN
