Food is phenomenal! However when paying $100 for dinner for two, is cheesy and irritating to be"up charged" $2 for substituting sauteed spinach instead of broccoli when both items are on the menu.

We loved EVERYTHING about this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, the atmosphere cozy and the sunset display spectacular. We would highly recommend this special place!

Always a pleasure to stay at Loon Lodge. It is outstandingly beautiful there, the rooms are lovely, and the staff go out of their way to make your time there perfect.

Enjoyable experience, attended a wedding and reception there, which our son was the best man. Service was exceptional, venue was beautiful, was an outside affair. Food was delicious. Would go back

My wife and I had dinner here on Sept. 6, 2016.
We stopped on a whim for dinner after being turned away when we wanted to eat here last summer on the deck with our puppies (they do not allow dogs even with the outside seating) and very much enjoyed ourselves.
The food was very good, though on the pricy side for the area, it was worth the extra cost. They were happy to make some special dietary adjustments we requested as well.
Very beautiful and rustic old inn. We enjoyed very much exploring the dining rooms, deck, and bar area and talking with the employees about its history and were told that it was once owned by the heiress of the Fruit of the Loom fortune, but could not find anything about this online and they were out of the flyers that shared the history of the inn. We will definitely stop in again when in Rangely and hope to find out more about the history of this beautiful old inn!response / report this review -

I absolutely loved our stay at the Loon Lodge!
It's beautiful and the staff are so friendly.
The bathrooms in all of the rooms have recently been redone and are very nice.
The bed was very comfy. The fireplace in the main room was so nice to sit by.
The Pickford Pub has an amazing menu, great drinks, and a fun bartender.
Highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time again at the lodge. The accommodations were perfect and we did almost 600 miles of riding. We saw amazing landscapes, moose and deer. We ended up eating every dinner at the lodge, which we hadn’t planned on, but the food and service were so good we didn’t feel like leaving.
Thank you again for a wonderful time and please thank Liz, Pat, Beth, and my cheerful friend making the yummy coffee in the morning. We look forward to seeing you all again next year
