Beautiful setting and the food was delicious! Our five year old was happy and said: “I loved it and didn’t spit anything out!”
Fantastic service, friendly And efficient! Excellent lobster roll and haddock, right off the boat!
Great outside dining. Good seafood. Service was good. Waitresses were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Will close for the season soon - it's a shame.
My favourite place for a good lobster dinner at the right price and with a nice view.
The seafood was fabulous. Coleslaw needs a little zip, maybe some onions would help.
The food and wait staff were excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for great food.
We have visited thee Lobster Trap ("The Trap", affectionately) many times over the years It overlooks the Kennebec River, and is a very pleasant environment in which to enjoy a meal, or even just a cup of coffee.
Staff were nice never going again tho I order two chicken baskets which didnt come wit fries.. When did a basket not include fries.. No butter wit rolls and said couldn't return it
Staff was nice and very friendly and I believe they do the best they can with what they are given. Food was mediocre at best and portions were quite skimpy. We had family visit the area and we're looking for that one local restaurant the could give that Maine lobster meal experience. Unfortunately this was not the experience we had hoped for. I would not recommend this place if it were the last seafood restaurant on the plantet. Our opinion is that The Lobster Trap is more like a tourist trap.
Great place to eat with a view of the river. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere and good food too.
Excellent seafood, reasonable prices, good service
I was very excited to come eat here and I got there an hour before closing and they had already shut the kitchen down.
They have this dish where it's nothing but lobster chunks. 😍😍😍 soooo delicious!! Decently priced for seafood but very very fresh. Sit out on the deck, beautiful scenery.
We go here once a year on our way through town. We have always had great meals. To be fair, we only get mussels and beer. They have a deck that faces the river that has a lively local happy hour. Not sure why the bad reviews. I guess you should avoid the touristy lobster and stick to the mussels.
