King Eider's pub is where we stop on out way back from Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. It is always on our schedule when we visit Maine. The oysters are my favorite in the area and always washed down with a Scotch Ale. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice atmosphere and good food, a bit on the pricey side compared to other places in the area
This is a great pub/restaurant! Their menu is full of fresh, local meats, fish and vegetables. They have the absolute BEST oysters on the planet from the Damariscotta River.
Amazingly delicious food, great staff and attractive food for a great price!
Henry the VIII portions! Loved my haddock sandwich with savory sauce. Fresh tomato .lettuce..plank fries!
The chocolate mousse was mood altering! !
This place. This is where you should go. Your plate should look like the photo. Atmosphere is fun, waitress was fantastic, and food was delicious. The setting and the quirkiness of the entry makes this restaurant definitely on my top 10 list for places to visit again.
Gorgeous historic building and cozy pub full of character. Best oysters I've ever had, and a wide selection of local beers on tap. My wife enjoyed her blueberry Martini, made with local liquor, and we had excellent dusted barbecue fries. Service was attentive and quick.
One of our favorite spots to hit every time we are driving through Damariscotta. When we looked at the whiskey menu, we couldn't believe they had Pappy Van Winkle! Always an amazing selection of food and drinks.
Stopped here for lunch. Place is small, but the food and service are great!
Warm and comfortable feeling friendly staff And fantastic food
The oysters casino had an overpowering taste of licorice. We sent them back, only to get glared at by what we thought was a manager. On the way out, no one thanked us or said have a good day. We walked right by the "manager". I asked one of the servers if the lady who glared was a manager, to my great surprise it was one of the owner's! She glared at us for sending something back, never came to the table to apologise, or even agnowledge us on our way out, we walking right past her and she didn't even smile! So rude and unfriendly. I won't be back king Eider has gone way down hill.
10 stars for the ambiance. We love to come here and just relax. Super cozy, with friendly staff and good service. Drink selection is enormous and the food is comforting and delicious. We are locals and this is one of our year-round favorites.
Come in for dinner every year, whether it's 14 of us or just 4, they always take good care of us. The beer is good, the food is great (bangers n mash, wings, seafood. Never had a bad meal here)
