If you’re looking for a casual place and some amazing clam chowder then this is the place! Their menu is simple but has plenty of options. Beer choices are descent and the views are hard to beat. Driving into the pier comes with 90 minute free parking ($2 and hour after) and there’s compliments valet right by the restaurant (just tip). Easy walk to other shops and such from the lot.
Getting to the restaurant requires you to take stairs, so it is not wheelchair accessible.response / report this review -

Ate outside on the deck and grabbed a handful of peanuts to eat. The pigeons gathered around as they normally would which didn't bother my dad and I. A male server (tall, black hair) walked outside multiple times and whipped his towel to shoo them away right next to us. The third time he did it I asked him not to as it was making the birds flap their wings causing ash to get in our food. He replied that it was a lesser of two evils of getting pooped on or getting ash in my food. Our server on the other hand was very polite and very attentive. As for the male server, someone needs to check his attitude because those kind of comments certainly don't help me recommend this joint to anyone.

Seriously delicious food and a great atmosphere. We went here two days in a row, first day I had the Baja tacos (mediocre beans, amazing everything else), and the next day I had the Blue Cheese Burger - it was seriously awesome. Try the Hanalei IPA and the Fish & Chips if you’re looking for something classic. The only thing I’d say is lackluster is the Shrimp Cocktail.

TL;DR Great view, average food, expensive, service ranges from good to ENFURIATING
Longboard's is a mixed bag. It's on Stearns Wharf, so the location is great and the view fantastic. You can eat inside (the ocean view seats go fast) or on the outside deck (nice when the weather's right but it can get bump-into-your-neighbor crowded). The food is good (though nothing special) and on the pricey side (you're paying for that location). Then there's the service: it can be fine but usually it's just adequate or even awful. When it's slow you can have trouble finding your server; if it's crowded, and it does get very crowded, good luck at getting any kind of prompt service at all. The service can get so bad, you'll want to walk out--and WE HAVE walked out. Give Longboard's a try--but go with moderate expectations.
UPDATE: Took out-of-town friends here. Great view but unbelievably poor service: lots of people moving around but no one paying attention to us. Had to leave the table to go grab a waitress to actually order. Had to get up and get our own utensils. Had to get up and get our own water refills. Had to get up and find someone for ketchup (who was obviously supremely put out by the fact she had to help someone). Lots of apologies, lots of thank yous for our patience--meaningless. Just to an insult to injury, the food--obviously ignored--arrived lukewarm.response / report this review -

Sept 2017 - Ordered the Double Seafood Tower $79, and received the Double Lobster Tail $110 and was charged for it. The waiters lack of understanding English was the problem. He was useless. Got a local Pizza to fill up on.

They charged us 10 DOLLARS for COFFEE. Like, really?! Fries were overcooked, way too salty and with a fish taste. Sliders burgers were big, but had almost no flavor. Will never comeback here.

Ordered an Aperol Spritz, a to my mind pretty well known drink, which the bartender didn't know the ingredients for. After having tried to instruct him via the incredibly slow waitress, I gave up and ordered a Gin&tonic. This showed very vague similarities with the ones I usually drink. Lousy place.

It's a bummer to see any negative reviews on here. I'm a native who moved away in 2005 and we visit about 3 times a year. We always come here. They are great with catering with kids, plus offer great cocktails and great food. We always get such great service! Even when they are slammed busy they always are fast with getting out food and great drinks! You can't beat the ambiance and there's free valet parking there. Thank you for being so great and playing awesome beach oldies on the patio. The only negative thing I could say is that they sure make you wish you were living back here. And for some, like me, that's depressing. But that's my issue, not theirs. Lol 😝 this place is great!

Don't know what other people are talking about but the service was fast, the location was great, and the food was awesome! The price is high though but you get past that once you realize you're in Santa Barbara

Service was very slow and the place wasn't even busy. Pricey but not worth the money. Food was ok, my coleslaw was warm, fish was over cooked. It looked nice on the plate but not worth the money. Nice place to have a few drinks. Those were worth it. Wife had the coconut monitor and she loved it. Went with the 22 oz beer.

Food was good, but not worth the price. 1 server was great, the other gave rolled her eyes when we asked for a refill. View is great, atmosphere is cool. Free peanuts that you crack and discard on the ground. Warning: parking is valet, 90 min. Free, $2.50 per hour after.
