My wife is native to the area and I have lived here for years. Locos Cocos used to be one of our go-to restaurants in the area. This pains me, but I truly feel the quality has plummeted in recent years. The other day I ordered the enchiladas con mole and was just utterly disappointed. The rice was dry, the beans were runny , and the portion was just TOO SMALL. I mean come on. 13$?? That meal was worth 7. My wife has been complaining about the batter on the fish tacos for a while and now I see that she is right about the restaurants demise . I'll be crossing the Memorial Bridge to Dos Amigos next time

This is about the most authentic Mexican food I know of within about 100 mile radius. I could eat here at least 3 times a week. I've been eating here for the last 8 or 9 years since it opened out of a tiny Shack of a place. Now it has its own bar, formal restaurant, and still the main cafeteria area. The key here is the salsa bar. The chips too are so good! I don't think there's anything you could eat here that you wouldn't like. Admittedly in true Mexican food fashion, it is quite spicy usually.

Excellent food and prices. The Bahn Mi Pork tacos are an interesting option that I'm extremely glad I tried. There is also a to-go counter for a quick bite.

While staying in the area, after our boys fell asleep, I picked up some pretty incredible tacos and an absolutely phenomenal burritos with fish from the nearby Loco Coco’s tacos. Paired with some of the local beer, it makes for a great meal. The food was fresh and delicious with a ton of flavor and seemed quite authentic. Inside is a massive space which even has a covered patio which is dog friendly.

Liked the food and drinks. The salted caramel martini was very well made, pretty strong too, but very good. Had the Mexican style chicken tacos. Very filling without being heavy. Glad we found this place

A wonderful spot with great food, perfect for a date night in the Portsmouth area! One of the best meals of the week, tied only with an incredible pesto pizza made by an up-and-coming chef at the esteemed Applecrest Bistro. Will be back for the guacamole and ambience.

Authentic Mexican food is pretty good. It's easier to know what you want before you get there because the line goes fast and you hardly have enough time to order it. Beef is a little tough.

Good food. Hopping place. Even on a Sunday.in late August! Little bit of a wait. But worth it.

This was a very nice surprise in the sea of chains and local establishments in the area. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Good menu choices, many I've not seen. Beef Tongue tacos were awesome. The burritos and enchiladas also very good and a proper portion to leave you satisfied. We will definitely make it a point to stop in for this establishments excellence and accommodations.

Easily the best burrito in New England. Some context: I absolutely love burritos, they're one of my favourite things about America (even if you include the natural wonder, the great films and TV shows, the economic opportunity, etc.) I've eaten a lot of burritos from a lot of different places but the ones from this restaurant shine brighter than nearly all others. Only the ones from the west coast cities are better.
