This wonderful little shop is hidden away in the food area, and is definitely worth the effort to stop by! The staff was very friendly, and I got to watch them make the milkshakes in front of me. I just absolutely loved the names of the shakes and thought the names for the sizes were funny and cute!
Personally I got the John F Kennedy, the mint chip. It was delicious. I just wish they had slightly bigger straws as the mint chips kept getting stuck in it.
A must stop if you love milkshakes at all!

My wife, son and I were visiting Old Sacramento the other day and decided to try Milk House Shakes. Wow, what a delight! It was, of course, a hot Sacramento summer day so having a cool milkshake seemed like the perfect refreshment. Not only did it cool us off but it was delicious! They theme their shakes after US Presidents which is a clever twist. I had the "Abe Lincoln" which was an Oreo cookie shake. If you're looking for a coffee or espresso, they have that, too. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Old Sac.

I really can't say enough good things about this amazing little shop. First of all: This was the best milkshake I have ever had. I love anything chocolate peanut butter, and the Jimmy Carter shake with added chocolate was incredible. My milkshake was the perfect size (I love that the large is called the "president" and the smaller size is the "VP"), and the straws were the perfect wider-size to sip a perfectly thick milkshake with. The theme is original, creative, and perfect. The styling is impeccable. Everything about this place seems well thought out and perfectly executed. I loved learning little fun facts about different presidents through the menu. I love all the details! The owner was there taking orders and making shakes with the rest of her crew, and it was such a delight to meet her. We were so impressed by every aspect of this place, and just wish we lived closer so we could come back often! We will take any excuse we can to come back to Sacramento and visit this shop, and will recommend it to everyone we know in the area. We could not have had a better experience with Milk House Shakes. Go visit this place! You won't regret it!
