Really enjoyed this as a day trip. Not too much to do at the falls itself but there are some hikes. If you go be sure to drive down the canyon road headed south west. It's full of places to pull off and take pictures and is a dun road with great scenery. It's several miles long and will probably take about an hour but it's well worth it.

Went this last weekend and there was plenty of water so falls were nice even saw Grace falls that we weren't able to see last year due to such little rainfall. Trails that you must see are Martha's falls to see the hippie hole and lower two mile trail. Lower two mile trail is extremely steep but short hike with good views at bottom. Leaves were just starting to change colors so these next couple of upcoming weekends should have some beautiful foliage.

This was a fun day trip for me and my husband! We really enjoyed driving the scenic route. It was a hot day in October, so we opted out of the hiking. It’s an easy drive and the nature center was very nice. The ranger (I guess that’s what he was called?) at the nature center was friendly and helpful. The restrooms in the nature center were clean, too! I wish we would’ve take our puppy, this was a pet friendly nature center! There were dog treats and even a dog water bowl by the water fountain. Great quick trip.

I'm really not sure what to rate this. It depends on what you're looking for. If you're just wanting to look at the waterfall, it's beautiful! The walk was very short though, at least with the actual walk way. If you want to walk further through the woods and go on a more difficult walk (not for young children) down to the falls, you can do that as well. We didn't go that far but we were told it takes about 20 or so minutes.

Absolutely Beautiful Scenery! Walking trails, Water Falls, Swimming Picnic Area, Bathrooms are Compost just so you know Trails are a little precarious so if you have a rambunctious one with you keep a tight hold on the hand! Very steep drop off, No guard rails on the trails! Other than that Highly Recommended for all ages!

I came to this place with my brother and friends. We came out for the day. This place is beautiful but can get crowded. We hiked and found a cold water hole that was undisturbed. The only downside is we came up there to hike and explore when the drought hit and there was an extreme burn ban going on. Other than that it was still a memorable hike and experience. Would definitely come back when we could.

*Edit Came back this past weekend to check out Waterfalls and since we've been having a lot of rain lately I finally got to see the Canyon flowing and flowing quite well. It's is just as beautiful filled as is just Rock bed to go around and hike on.

Nice waterfall view and no entrance fees. Easy drive with convenient pull outs for viewing. The road and pull outs need some maintenance. The view doesn't offer much but would be worth visiting in the fall. For hot weather, I suggest the lower hiking trails and spending time in the water below. Rangers are VERY nice and helpful here.

Beautiful Place to spend an afternoon! It varies from a gentle stream to a raging river depending on the amount of rain that has fallen, so the view is different each time you come! A ride through the park is a great photo opp! Especially in the fall! There is a restroom at the falls and it is handicap accessible. The walk down to view the falls is fairly steep but has handrails. For those with trouble walking, the view from the bridge is lovely and easier on the legs!

There is more to see in about a three Mike radius around this area then can be shoehorned into a single afternoon. The falls (both Grace High Falls and Little River Canyon Falls) were spectacular. Hiking was exceptional, and the NPS visitor center was new, well run, and exceeded expectations. Volunteers were extremely helpful. One of the best National Park Service experiences I've ever had. Bring your hiking shoes, lunch, your sense of wonder, and a camera. You won't regret the trip!

Breathtaking! It's amazing that so few people know about this place, it's only about an hour and a half away from Huntsville. We spent the day driving and hiking and really enjoyed it. even in a drought! We will definitely be going back in the near future (after a big rain).

Oh it's breath taking to see the canyon and the water falls! It's known as the grand canyon of the East! There is a road you can travel down the whole brow of the canyon and see the beauty for it truly is!!!

One of the best kept secrets in Alabama. Anytime of year the canyon is beautiful. A Bucket List item for sure. The canyon starts at Little River Falls. The park service built all new overlooks, trails and facilities. Many lives have been lost over the waterfall so stay in the safe places and out the water.

Who new there was a canyon in Alabama? The drive around the canyon rim is beautiful. I will offend some people by this, but I enjoyed it almost as much as the Blue Ridge Parkway. The summits just aren't as high. But there are a tone of places to park and hike. The hiking is the best part--a lot of interesting trees, creeks, and rock formations.
