Just an incredible find for me. No gas powered motors in the water at this location. Trolling, canoes, kayaks and the like are allowed. Prices for rentals are fair. The scenery and water are absolutely amazing. I took my yak out last weekend and fell in love with this beautiful place. Great fishing, crystal clear water and a park for children. The reservoir was built over a quarry so that should tell you the water is amazing.

I walk my dogs here on a loop trail that is a little over a mile, all with a beautiful view of the water. Nice playground and picnic shelters, boat rentals.

This is a park that has a few walking trails in a rural setting in Toano, Virginia. There is a lake and you can go fishing here. There are two parking areas. From the first parking area, you can walk a trail that goes through the woods and to a point which is surrounded by water. Another trail leads to over a bridge to a gazebo and a small store with park information. There are restrooms at the park also.

My dad first started bringing me here when I was 8 years old (20 years ago now). I can confidently say that it is in the top 10 public lakes for fishing (crappie specifically) in Virginia. The staff has almost always been phenomenal and the amenities are great. Also just a great place for sightseeing, as well. It is host to a wide variety of both plant and wildlife alike, and, along with fishing, is great for those interested in birdwatching. I absolutely would recommend it to anyone and plan on also bringing my daughter and future stepson here in the years to come!
