My Dad was at Lexington Medical for over 2 weeks in ICU. He is a difficult patient, but the nurse staff was super attentive to his care without regard to how he treated them. They cared for him well and it was clear they were all gifted to serve. I'm grateful for the care they provided to my Dad. I would highly recommend Lexington Medical Center!
This is by far one of the worst hospitals I've ever been to. Very long waits if u have an emergency and didn't come by ambulance, non emergencies are in and out. A lot of the staff is rude and snobby. Not all of them are bad tho. They run a lot of unnecessary tests if you have insurance, if not your lucky to get a bandaid on a severed limb
Patient Care is abominable. My niece has been sitting here and the nurses won't even make a call to track down the doctor. After waiting forever in pain the patient's family made ONE call & located the doctor right in the hospital. Do not bring anyone here that you care about for treatment. Nursing staff is horrible!!
I was seen at LMC Urgent Care Lexington on July 3, 2016. The doctor ordered 2 meds. When the doctor left the examination room, the nurse came in. The RN. Someone at Urgent Care had written CVS Pharmacy Bishopville SC on my paperwork. WHO, I don't know. WHERE they got this information, I don't know. NOT from me. I live in West Columbia and am not even remotely connected with Bishopville in any way, shape, form, or fashion. The RN asked me if I wanted my meds called in to Bishopville. I answered with a very clear "NO"! I told her I wanted them called to CVS in West Columbia on Emmanuel Church Road and also gave her the pharmacy phone number. Before I got home, I received a voicemail from CVS Pharmacy in Bishopville informing me that my meds were ready for pick-up. I got home and immediately called Urgent Care. I was assured the error would be taken care of and the meds would be called to the correct CVS. This was around 2pm. It was Sunday and the pharmacy closed at 6pm. As of 5:45pm, CVS had not heard from Urgent Care. I, again, called Urgent Care and was told it would be taken care of first thing in the morning. Next day, CVS had not heard from Urgent Care. I called Urgent Care again. Same promise. 4 hours later, CVS had heard nothing. So, away I go, sick, back to Urgent Care and explained the mess. The lady at the desk went and spoke to the RN who told her to tell me she HAD called CVS on the 3rd and would call again now. The lady at the desk profusely apologized. 2 hours later, I went to CVS. Nothing. CVS was great. They saw how sick I was and did their magic. CVS Bishopville was closed by that time, but CVS West Columbia filled my meds. They were just as shocked to hear about this as I was. Nothing happened, but what if this had involved a patient who was more seriously ill than I was? I also might add that the day I was seen at Urgent Care, there were hardly any patients. Just me and one other patient. So, it was nowhere near a confusing situation where they would have gotten me mixed up with another patient from Bishopville. When I walked in, the staff were sitting around engrossed in personal conversations. I suppose I was dumbfounded by this inexcusable service because I, myself, am an RN in a managerial position. I am used to plenty of criticism about nurses, but this takes the cake. This review is only a start. I will be submitting a LMC Patient Satisfaction Survey and also contacting the LMC Urgent Care Risk Manager. As I said, there is no excuse for this. HOW could I possibly recommend that anyone go to this Urgent Care?
If there was an option for no stars then that would've been selected. Worst service by far. Was in a car accident and waited 5 hours before I finally decided to go. Sprained ankle and all, my body was so sore to bare the pain of sitting there any longer. The staff could care less about wait times or how you are feeling! This isn't my first bad experience there also
