still a world class B&B, nice new owner, great place to stay when visiting meyersdale or other sites around laurel highlands. check their site and book earlier, they get reservations for weekends months in advance!
The Levi Deal Mansion B&B was absolutely beautiful and the stay there was so special. The hostess was very attentive to our needs and breakfast was great. Our accommodations were wonderful!! Access to town and the Allegheny Passage trailhead is perfect for those riding the trail.
What a gem this place is! Beautiful! The new owner Deb is as passionate about this place as the previous owners. She's a big town girl who made the switch to small town host and she fits right in. This place has earned it reputation on the trail!
Man oh man. Stay here - you won't regret it. Wish I could give it 10 stars.
Owner/ innkeeper Deborah was extremely informative, responsive, and accommodating. Mansion itself was most outstanding and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! Evening dining options nearby are good but close early. A binder with the house history in the parlor is worth perusing. We were cycling the GAP, and this property provides a Locking Garage, a pump with PSI gauge, and a hose with rags in case of mud (which we encountered in excess). Winning! Highly recommend.
BBBeautiful, clean, friendly, great porch, amazing breakfast. Biking from Pittsburgh to Cumberland food is important. 💝🚲🚲🚲
We stayed at the Levi Deal while on a bike trip on the Great Allegheny Passage in summer 2016.
Highly recommended to stay in Carriage House if you're on a long bike ride; they have a washer and dryer in the room that you can use. This helped us out a bunch because we had some gross clothes from the previous day of play in Ohiopyle.
The room itself was clean, comfortable, and with entirely functional air conditioning.
Our hosts had snacks and beer waiting for us when we arrived. I tried out a Pious IPA, but there was quite an assortment of other beers and wine.
That night, while enjoying the breeze on their porch, our host offered us some homemade ice cream.
Breakfast the next morning was great.
Highly recommended.
Great stay while riding the GAP! June 2016
Highly recommended and you'll love the puffy pancakes! Such great hosts we will definitely be back. Levi Deal mansion is beautiful and a true landmark in Meyersdale.
Four of us bicycled the Great Allegheny Passage from Pittsburgh to Cumberland in four days last weekend. Our favorite stop on the trip was the Meyersdale, PA B&B we stayed at the last night of the journey, The Levi Deal Mansion. This exquisitely restored 1900 mansion was breathtakingly beautiful and true to the period, while having every modern amenity you could want. The meals were delicious and while the building might lead you to expect a stiff and starched atmosphere, that couldn't be further from the truth. Our host made us feel right at home and very comfortable. We hope to visit again soon when we can stay longer!
The Levi Deal Mansion is Amazing! We stayed here on our GAP voyage. We were traveling with our 14 month son, and they had no issues accommodating our family. Actually I think that if you look up hospitality in the dictionary it refers you to Jan from Levi Deal. The house was full (of cyclists) the night we stayed and there was still plenty of room in the storage area for our recumbent tricycle. The carriage house was very comfortable, with a very plush bed. It also had a washer and dryer that was perfect timing for our trip. The other rooms looked amazingly plush as well and make me want to come back to stay again. Even though we did not prearrange dinner for our stay Jan was able to accommodate us on short notice. The food was delectable, even homemade ice cream. Breakfast was perfect for cyclists, (the right nutrition to fuel us for the ride)they really know what they are doing here. Everything about the mansion is beautiful. Plenty of coffee, and smiles.
The Levi Deal Mansion is a perfect stop if you're riding the GAP. A friend and I did this, and now I want to go back. The B&B is just a couple blocks from the trail. The building is beautiful inside and out. I'm a veggie and they had no problem accommodating me (they're vegan friendly too and they know the difference). Breakfast was absolutely awesome and filling (plus great coffee and a smoothie to die for). The room was actually *bigger* than it appeared in the pictures. The water pressure was strong. You're given a door code so you're able to come and go as you like, and there's a locked garage to put your bike in. Jan, the hostess, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area and the trail. She really made us feel at home. The Levi Deal Mansion is like having all the advantages of being rich without actually needing to be rich.
