I had written the previous review below but would like to amend My recent experience was far better than all previous ones. Everything was perfectly cooked and reminded how much I love lamb. The scallops were also of great quality along with everything else. My father is more critical than I and was impressed how much has changed since our last experience. I post this to retract my previous one to say the kitchen is serving top notch cuisine.
If my review was based purely on the bar staff and happy hour experience it would be five stars; if however it were based on the food it would be lower. Consistency with the kitchen is the problem. While I have seen chefs come and go over the years, this remains an issue. I also question the commitment to French bistro fare. Their worst is not terrible but certainly not worth the money. Come for the drinks and proceed with caution on the food, but $1 oysters are always a deal.

This place always delivers superb food, ambience and people watching. You'll exercise your zygomate muscles for sure. Have been going here for more than a decade.
Great little place we bumped into. Delicious food options. I recommend the flat bread pizzas. Good atmosphere, polite service and, decent drink selections as well as oyster raw bar deals. We got the mushroom flat bread and, it was fabulous.
Cozy ambience with live jazz, great service and top refined food is how I would describe this place. I enjoyed every minute and savored every bite of my 3 course meal. If you're a connaisseur you likely know this place already, if not put it on your list of your next outings!
Delicious food and very nice jazzy ambiance. Went for restaurant week and had the three course dinner and oysters - everything was excellent, fresh and well prepared. Desserts were so good we polished them off even though we were already stuffed.
Delicious food. Great service. There was a pianist playing that night. It was really nice.
Nothing funky or wild but just plain good. Makes you think all this new American cuisine stuff is a joke. It's not cheap but it's damn good French food
The second time I've been here. I highly recommend the lobster roll and the rigatoni, both of which I truly enjoyed eating. The decor is classy, the music excellent and the service ia superb.
I've been going here for many years. Love the Oyster special for happy hour, nice collection of wines. The food is excellent and live jazz too!
The atmosphere and live music were great. It's a pretty upscale place, so know what you're getting into - but at the same time, I don't think that warrants the staff rolling their eyes and getting sarcastic when customers ask to split a check or meal. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it was just our waiter, Nick, that tainted the experience. All else was good.
